Excellent Salesman and Dealership Experience I haven't had such a highly responsive Salesman and easy experience with a Dealership in well over 10 years - and this was my first buying experience I haven't had such a highly responsive Salesman and easy experience with a Dealership in well over 10 years - and this was my first buying experience at this Dealership. Michael LaPorta in particular was my Salesman, and he was excellent throughout as was the delivery of the Durango. I highly recommend this Dealer and if you have the chance to connect with Michael, I would! Thank you to the entire Team there and we love our new Durango! More

I had done some prior research online and was able to narrow down my choice to a Dodge Durango and knew what price range I needed to be in to make it feasible for my day to day bills. Paramus Dodge was pushy and played games and pressured me into putting a deposit down on a vehicle that I did not even want but convinced me that I couldn't afford what I wanted and didn't even try to make it work for me. Mind you I have had this car for 12 years and this was my first vehicle from 17 years old so this was a totally new experience to me. The moment we walked into Rockland Dodge, we were greeted by Don Smith who immediately made me feel confident that he was going to try his best to get me into the car that I TRULY wanted in a price range that I was comfortable with. He sat down with us to find out what aspects in the vehicle that were must haves, would be an added bonus or things that we didn't want. He searched his inventory and found 2 options to start with and immediately took us on a test drive to help narrow it down. I fell in love with the Durango but happened to glance over at a Durango that was set up in the showroom and quickly decided that was the vehicle that I wanted. Don didn't make any promises but agreed to do his best in order to get me in that car. He brought over Chris Dooney who worked side by side with us to make this vehicle work. 30 minutes later, I was signing for the truck! 3 days later (that was because of my schedule, they were open to getting it to me earlier) I drove my new car away. I cant thank Don and Chris enough for turning my traumatizing experience around and making my first vehicle purchase as an adult an easy, exciting, no-games experience. I would absolutely recommend this dealer, especially these two employees to anyone who is looking for a new vehicle. Thank you!! xox Jamie and Anthony More

Chris Gunst worked very hard to find us the car we wanted and deliver in our time frame, which was no small task. I had asked a few dealers to do the same, and he was the only one who came through and an added bonus, he provided the best leasing deal price. The pick up process was easy. Jeremy Booth went over additional warranty options and didn't hard sell us anything. He provided information and guided us to make educated choices. We had an outstanding experience from test drive to driving it home! More

I came in for an oil change and we agreed that you will fix the front axle seals and a full day was scheduled. 3. I came in on the scheduled day for you to fix the front axle seals– you told me the leak was an oil plug (the one you worked on) 4. Then you sold me the idea that I needed front struts. (I do not believe you after you avoided the front axle seals) 5. I was charged for a new oil plug and a wheel alignment. 6. The steering wheel was off-alignment 7. I brought the car back – you allegedly fixed the issue. 8. NOW the steering wheel is still off-alignment – and - 9. The new seals you installed are still leaking. 10. The vehicle never stopped leaking fluids! 11. This all happened in the past 3 months!!! 12. I faxed and sent certified letters - no response More

It is a scam and there is better selection/options and pricing at other nearby dealers. It took me 4 months to get my deposit refunded on new base level Grand Cherokee. I called the same day July 30 to say I was not interested and left message. Spoke to a salesman that evening and confirmed I was not interested. I wound up disputing it with my credit card after leaving 5 messages with Rockland Chrysler/Jeep and run around. Why??? I'm not sure how Rockland Chrysler/Jeep received 2016 dealer award? "Rigged voting?" I had a horrible experience with service advice in fall 2015 on older Durango. Bizarre experience in July/August/September regarding new Jeep Grand Cherokee purchase and this SIMPLE refund. Why? I will not be bringing the new Jeep Grand Cherokee for routine maintenance to Rockland even though they are much closer. NO way. Go to Ramsey, they rock! Fabulous selection and much better pricing. Super quick. Be careful with car shopping/service advice and follow up. Save all receipts and record calls? More

ATTENTION!!! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE I am Active Duty Military stationed in Yuma, AZ. Upon the arrival of our first child, my wife and I looked for months figuring out what vehicle we wa I am Active Duty Military stationed in Yuma, AZ. Upon the arrival of our first child, my wife and I looked for months figuring out what vehicle we wanted to buy. We decided on a Jeep Grand Cherokee for it's size and safety. I bought my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit from Rockland in February of 2015 after finding it online. I asked all the questions i.e., is there cosmetic damages, has it been in a wreck, it is in good running condition.... I was told the vehicle was practically new, and the owner had only bought it to make quota. The Jeep had just under 10,000 miles on it. I pulled the Carfax and it had not reported anything. It seem like a perfect purchase. I had the Jeep shipped to Yuma, and arrived just in time for our first born child's birth. Fast forward to July of this year. I took the vehicle in to my Yuma Jeep dealership for some warranty work due to the wheel well trim coming off, and the right front bumper had popped out causing a small crack in the paint. I was told that they wheel trim pieces would be covered, but the bumper could not because it had been in a wreck. I was dumbfounded because my wife and I have not hit anything. Note, this vehicle has all the bells and whistles that scream at you even if you get too close to something. I pulled the CarFax when I got home, and found out that CarFax started to report a month after purchase that my vehicle had been in a vehicle collision a month prior. After a few weeks of contacting Rockland, they told me to take it into my local Jeep dealership and send them the quote of the damage. The Yuma dealership took the bumper off and did a further inspection to make sure there was no further damage. They found that the headlight had been glued into place, sheet metals screws, non standard brackets, and broken brackets. They sent the quote to Rockland and they denied the claim. This vehicle was sold as a Jeep Certified Pre-owned Vehicle. Note, the inspection does not involve taking off any panels or they would have found this cheap fix. I tried to contact Rockland to get a reason why they would not fix the damage but got no response. I filed a complaint with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the NY State Attorney. The NY State Attorney has recommended this to be dealt with in court. I ended up paying for the damages out of my pocket which were over $3400, not including the rental or loss of value now that vehicle is reported to have been in a wreck. I also had to deal with this during my family vacation, which does not happen often when your in the military in a unit with a high op tempo. I would HIGHLY recommended that you do not purchase your next vehicle from this dealership. If they are willing to cover up this, what else will they cover up. Furthermore, one of the owners of the dealership was the one who wrecked it. Save yourself time, money, the headache, and purchase somewhere else. Update after response from dealer: Here are a few facts for the consumers: 1. The vehicle has not been driven all over the country. Was shipped in an enclosed truck to Yuma after it was bought, 3 hr trips from local area, and one cross country trip to TN for Christmas so the family could be all together on our baby's first Christmas. 2. The only "repair shops" it has been to has been to get the oil changed at Jeep Dealerships. Something responsible owners do. Take care of their vehicle. 3. The owner of your business was the one who wrecked it. Why the info wasn't disclosed when buying the vehicle was a pure cover up. The police report clearly states that the owner wrecked the vehicle. The damage that I had to fixed was in the same location that the owner wrecked vehicle. 4. The reason the Yuma Jeep dealership first spotted your spotty repair work was because the bracket was replaced with a non standard bracket. 5. A 125 point inspection would not find the underlying damage. 6. Your spotty repair didn't hold causing the right front bumper to slightly pop out and make a small crack in the paint. Same place of impact where your owner wrecked it. I would highly advise you not to buy from here. If the owner is willing to cover up a wreck, not properly fix it, and not tell the consumer who was buying it, what else are they willing to cover up. I honestly would not have bought this vehicle if I had know it had been in a wreck. Once again, save yourself a headache, time, money, and look elsewhere. I have tried to contact the dealer one last time and their consumer rep has told me not to contact them again. I am now stuck with trying to find a lawyer and probably paying for fees more than what the damage cost. More
looking for a preowned car I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Don Smith. When he walked over to my husband and I, I knew he would be the one who would sell us our car. I w I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Don Smith. When he walked over to my husband and I, I knew he would be the one who would sell us our car. I was pleased by the fact that the cars that they have on their website as available for sale, were in fact available for sale. I told him about the car that I wanted, and he took me right to the car. As soon as I saw the car, I knew it was the one for my family. Thank you Mr. Don Smith, and everyone at Rockland Chrysler Jeep Dodge for making my experience enjoyable. Sincerely, Mrs. Kemba Ellerbe More
