12/16/2022: I'm quite happy to report that after 2 hours my cruise control issue was solved and I was called by the Rockland Nissan Service Center. Surely enough, it was a mis-adjustment thatt was overlooked during the brake switch replacement. I will admit with pleasure that typically every time that I have met with the service center employees, they have been very polite and courteous folks who seem genuinely well intentioned, despite some of the aforementioned lackluster results. Unfortunately before I was allowed to leave my vehicle for repair during my drop-off, this extremely unpleasant and disrespectful youth insisted I "take a test drive" with him, apparently because he either thought I was fabricating the whole issue, or he thought me too stupid to be able to correctly operate the cruise control. Funny this younger generation of young men & women; absolutely no respect for older men or women and the notion that older typically means "Wiser". Apparently they don't teach about wisdom in schools any longer, or they assume that's taught at home (which plainly it is not). When I asked in a disappointing lackluster voice "is this really necessary to do this? Can't you simply test drive it yourself? After all, shouldn't that have been done by the mechanic after the last repair?" The cold rain, and the fact that I had limped in with a cane would normally indicate to anyone with observation skills getting back in the car only to prove it didn't function correctly as I had explained in detail was the last thing I wanted to do, this VERY young rude young man named Justin (?) very sternly said to me as if to scold me, "come on, let's play nice and get this over with so I can move you along". Well that was not the right thing to say to me, a man likely three times his age, a disabled 12-year veteran, and 25 year retired Network & Computer Engineer. In polite but short fashion I reminded him of respect for his elders and whom the customer was, and complied with his request to satisfy his curiosity as to both the validity of my claim, and my ability to correctly utilize the cruise control function in the vehicle. I promptly made a call to his service manager directly afterwards, to make sure that someone might mention to him what the meaning of "customer service" really means. All in all, I was finally satisfied and things were back to how they should be... With a reliable, working order car that I shouldn't have to worry about leaving me stranded anywhere. If you ever have a service issue and draw the "Justin" card or any young man under the age of 25 I strongly suggest asking for alternative help.
