They will lie about the financial part of your sale. They will sign you up for smartpaymentplan, and tell you that you will save money by paying every two weeks and so on, but lead you to think you are d They will sign you up for smartpaymentplan, and tell you that you will save money by paying every two weeks and so on, but lead you to think you are doing this through the financial company. Put what happens is this is a third party company that has nothing to do with Chrysler capital or other banks, it only takes the money from your account and they mail a check for you at a very large fee. Now, they do not explain any of this to you at dealership, it way for them to make more money. For example, for me the extra fee was going to be almost $47.00 per month, and they charge a $399.00 fee also to make your payments for you. In the long run I would have been out $1,666.80 for this fee in 3 years, I can only image for people that financial for 5 or more years, now understand this has nothing to do with you interested rate for your loan that is fee for this third party company only. When you financial a person is more then able to make payments for themselves. I glad I figured it out with the first payment, I called the Chrysler capital and spoke with them after receiving a payment in mail for what it should have been. I am able to pay them out of my account myself don't need to pay someone else to do this. So be adware don't let them trick you into smartpaymentplan, it will cost you alot of money. When I called the dealership and question them about these fees the financial person hung up the phone. More
Worst Experience ever with a General Manager Would rate a zero star but wouldn’t let me. Went to the used car store off of new circle. Found a truck that was a little over priced but not to bad. Was able to haggle down to the rate I wanted with all the terms I wanted. When I inspected the truck I found that a wiper blade was broken (not a big deal), tool box was trash (didn’t care), and the tailgate was rusted beyond repair. When talking with the sales manager he understood and was reseasonable and willing to replace it. Then comes the GM biggest jerk ever. Came out to look about what I was talking about the GM went on to tell me he was not going to fix it because the truck had too many miles and it was no big deal. Then I handed the GM the keys and told him I didn’t want it. He then called me a child and that’s not how you do business yelling this and then almost ran my wife over. The Sales manager and car salesman was some of the best people I ve talked with, but the GM cost them a sale and any further business ever. I wouldn’t even take a free truck from them at this point. Terrible Buying Experience. Consumer beware!!! I hope anyone considering buying a car from Hatfield will read this. I had a horrible experience today while shopping for a new car at Hatfield. I accompanied my father, who was considering buying a new Impala at Hatfield. My father told the sales manager that he wanted time to think about the offer that had been made to us. At that point, the sales manager became extremely rude and aggressive (more rude than any person I have ever dealt with at a car dealership). I told the sales manager, "If we choose to buy, we will buy. If we choose not to buy, we won't." He responded, "If I choose to sell to you, I will. If I choose not to sell to you, I won't, and I choose not to sell to you." Those were his exact words. He made it sound as if he thought he was doing us a favor by selling us a car. We left and drove to Sutherland Chevrolet in Nicholasville, where we purchased an Impala. I would never return to Hatfield if my life depended on it. More
Do not trust this dealer While shopping online for a specific vehicle I learned they had the car I wanted and a good price with more features than I needed. I contacted them by email then they called me. On the phone we agreed to purchase the car and I placed a deposit of $500. I advised them I would drive my trade-in the 260 miles from my location the next day. I told this to Charles on the phone the day before I traveled and sent an email to the Internet Sales department saying I would be there after noon. My wife and I drove to Lexington and when we were half way there my cell phone rang. It was Mr. Lee from Rod Hatfield telling me they had sent my car to a dealer in Florida. Needless to say I WAS ANGRY. I had gotten up early. Driven 120 miles. Turned around and driven 120 miles home and wasted a half tank of gas. Do Not Trust Anything These People Say. They are so disorganized. One department does not communicate with the others. They tried to switch me to another car or get the car I wanted from another dealer. I was so mad and disappointed I did not want anything to do with them ever. More
