I've bought many cars over the years but this was the first time I got hit with a 2000 plus addition to the price when doing the final paperwork for a standard warranty of 5 year 60,000 miles.. I needed first time I got hit with a 2000 plus addition to the price when doing the final paperwork for a standard warranty of 5 year 60,000 miles.. I needed the car so I went through with the deal but I told the man doing my paperwork that this was sleazy business practice and I've bought several cars from them before and this was the first time they pulled that trick on me. in the future I'll make sure to start shopping elsewhere. I had a bad experience. The brakes on my dad's Ridgeline got mushy. He took the truck to his local mechanic who replaced the master cylinder. So I brough the truck to Pittsburgh to Rohrich hoping that a Honda dealership would know how to fix the problem. I was told that the previous mechanic had improperly installed the master cylinder and that it was better to replace it with a brand new one. Also that the rotors and pads should be replaced. I agreed and paid $2,000 for the work. The problem returned in a couple of weeks. I took it back to Rohrich. The same mechanic was given the job. He reported that the prior work had been done properly, but that the calipers were bad. That didn't pass the smell test, but i needed to get the truck back to my dad so I agreed to the additional work. Another $1,000. Now the brakes seem to be fixed. But I'm quite confident that the problem was misdiagnosed the first time. Also, I was not pleased with the customer service rep. I was promised the truck by end of day on July 2, the Thursday before the 4th of July holiday. At 4:00 I still hadn't heard so I decided to call Rohrich. When I opened my phone, I saw a voicemail from Rohrich that was left at 3:50 pm. The VM said that i had until 4:30 to pick up my car. Otherwise it would be unavailable until after the holiday. I frantically call Rohrich and called an Uber. I was able to get the truck--because of my pleading they left it with the new car sales team. But I don't think that leaving a VM at 3:50 without any follow-up was appropriate in this situation. More
