She is pleasant, professiona I purchased a CPO 2013 VW Tiguan from Tammy Phillips recently. Tammy is the epitome of what car salesmanship should be. She is pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. The entire buying experience was smooth and easy. Mind you, I did the research of the Tiguan, fair market price considering mileage, accessories, etc. I consider myself an informed customer and I have no problem fighting for what is fair. But I also consider myself reasonable. (Perhaps previous unsatisfied reviewers lacked that quality.) For example, Phil Roeber gave me a very reasonable offer for my trade-in, it was thousands more than the five other dealerships I went to. Yet, I was hesitant to purchase the Tiguan because I felt it needed new tires ASAP. With a large down payment, I simply could not afford new tires also. Phil made me an offer which I accepted and bought the Tiguan the next day. It pretty much was an offer I couldn't refuse: outstanding trade-in value, great loan rate, AND an offer for the tires. Tammy worked exceptionally hard to get me into the Tiguan. Truly, I felt as if she was my own personal car concierge. Most of this transaction was by cell phone. I didn't meet Tammy until two weeks later. This is my first VW (I've purchased approximately 15 vehicles previously). The Tiguan is a great CUV. If Tammy is still at this dealership, I plan to be back in two years for a new Tiguan. I was truly impressed with the service and my treatment at VW of Kingston. (By the way, there are two VW dealerships closer to my residence. One would not even entertain my trade-in. The other simply has a horrible reputation.) The worst customer service experience I have ever had. I purchased a used car from this dealership this past summer. The car I traded in had an after-market stereo system in it. They promised me they would I purchased a used car from this dealership this past summer. The car I traded in had an after-market stereo system in it. They promised me they would remove the stereo and appropriate cables and hold on to them so I could pick them up. After over 3 months of having to contact VW corporate and the dealership's excuses and lies, they finally told me they lost everything. I sent them the receipt which totaled over $500, and they reimbursed me $290 for just the stereo and nothing else. I had purchased over $150 of cables to that it works with a VW and I also purchased a warranty for 4 years(I had only had this stereo for 9 months at that point). They were so incredibly rude and insensitive that I had just purchased a $22,000 car and wouldn't give me the total cost of the equipment THEY LOST so that it would fit into my new car. Avoid them like the plague. I have purchased a car from the VW in Wappingers Falls in the past and it was a totally different experience. They were polite, caring and made my experience rewarding. I would advise anyone looking for a car to avoid the Kingston dealership as they are full of crooks and liars. More

The VW GM, Phil, and the VW service manager, Marquis, saw my negative review (admittedly posted in frustration and anger) and immediately contacted me to see how they could make things right. I was skeptical. I was thinking 'yeah, right...what are they really going to do?' Well, I am happy to say that they stepped up and offered me a fair solution to my complaint about a transmission repair that did not work. In fact, they offered to install a 'new' (60K on it) transmission and include a 1 year warranty with it for a significantly reduced price. All in all, putting even more money into the car wasn't fun BUT it made sense considering all the other new parts already in it. Marquis also worked with me on another repair that was found while they had it in the shop. It's only been 3 days since we picked the car up. But, so far, it is running beautifully, just like new! I feel so much better knowing my son is driving a safe and 'reliable' car while he is away at college. I also truly appreciate VW of Kingston for making things right when they could have screwed us by doing absolutely nothing and giving us the run-around. I have no reason NOT to recommend you guys...and I will! I will post a positive Facebook review too. More
