Sincere people, no pressure I started my hunt for a new vehicle about a month ago. Steve was very helpful, listened, let me test drive....the whole bit....and then I decided to I started my hunt for a new vehicle about a month ago. Fast forward 2 weeks....and my poor little civic was "hit", damaged more than the blue book value. So, I was back looking at cars. This time, I knew I wanted a car about the size of my civic....but new civics are larger. So patiently, Steve took me to every compact car on the lot....listened to my pros/cons. And, I decided on the Honda Fit. There was no pressure just excellent service to help me get the vehicle that I wanted and on the terms that I was comfortable with. I made appointments with Steve--he kept the time open for me--and was on time. He responded to e-mails and phone calls. Winfred did the financing--very open (and friendly) regarding the whole process. I have had great experiences at Ron Tonkin Honda on 122nd--both with buying a car and having a car serviced there (my 20 year old civic). More

I encountered no high-pressure sales tactics at all. I worked with Jairo Garcia and Stephen Rohrbough and both were terrific. Jairo was friendly, knowledgeable, and relaxed in helping me test drive a couple of models and zero in on what I wanted. Stephen was low-key, professional, and patient in steering me through the actual purchasing process. I never felt rushed or manipulated. Having done some homework ahead of time, I found what both gentlemen said to me trustworthy and genuine. I got a great deal in what was a remarkably painless process due to their efforts. If you go to Ron Tonkin, I highly recommend asking for Jairo or Stephen. More

Service Appointment Times Are Meaningless I service my Element regularly, and have taken it to Ron Tonkin Honda on 122nd three times. Each time they get to it when they get to it. After seeing it parked in the lot for hours after the appointment time on two occasions I decided to send an email to Dave Berry and Carol Stevens asking "Is there a way for me to get my car worked on at my actual appointment time?" She mentioned Dave Berry would get back to me. Never happened. My time is valuable, and don't enjoy a simple service appointment taking most of my Saturday. Its the very reason I make appointments at 8:00am when they open. To park it, and simply leave it for hours is inexcusable. What's the point of an appointment? Dick Hannah keeps their appointment times, Ron Tonkin does not. Happy to drive an extra 15 minutes further to save several hours in wait time. My wife, a Honda owner, has switched too and noticed similar positive outcome. More

Kyle W is amazing to work with at Ron Rokin Honda Portland Kyle was very helpful and courteous! He was trying so hard to get me a good deal for 2016 Honda HRV and he did! I was very surprise to find a good and honest car salesman like Kyle. I brought my boyfriend because I have zero experience buying cars and heard so many nightmare stories about buying cars and car salesman. But Kyle is honest, and took care of me and got me the best deal!! I wasn’t very happy with the finance man I think his name was Mike. When I got to his office I wasn’t offered the deal I wanted instead he offered me to buy bunch of crappy insurances I don’t need with a year longer payment. The only thing I didn’t like about my experience at this dealership is the last step at the finance department. They tried to sell and sell and sell and tried to sell you things you don’t need. I will recommend this dealership and ask for Kyle W. But beware of the finance people! If you don’t want to buy any insurances just say no! More
