Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your frustration and the inconvenience you experienced during your recent visits. Your vehicle was initially brought in for an oil consumption concern, and we followed Hyundai’s official procedure to diagnose and address the issue. This included an oil change followed by a 1,000-mile oil level check, which showed consumption exceeding one quart per 1,000 miles. Based on Hyundai’s guidelines, we proceeded with a combustion chamber cleaning, which was authorized and covered under warranty. After that repair, we asked you to return after another 1,000 miles to verify whether the issue had been resolved. During that follow-up visit, there was a miscommunication regarding the oil level and the need for an overnight stay. While the service advisor initially believed the oil level was low, our technician confirmed the next morning that it was within Hyundai’s specifications and that the cleaning had successfully addressed the concern. We completely understand how the mixed messages and lack of clarity around the loaner vehicle added to your frustration. We are currently working with our service team to improve communication and ensure that expectations around loaner availability and the oil consumption testing process are clearly explained moving forward. Our Service Manager also reached out to you directly and left a voicemail in hopes of discussing this further and providing any additional clarification you may need.
