Before I went in to the dealership, I was looking at their used inventory when a pop up ad told me to schedule a test drive and get a free $25 Visa gift card. I followed the instructions after receiving my confirmation email and appointment time. I test drove the car, haggled on a price for about an hour and a half. When no deal could be reached we ended our negotiations and I was about to leave when I remembered the gift card. I asked the sales manager and he said he would be right back. He returned 20 minutes later telling me that they are still trying to get me the offer I submitted and just wait a few more minutes and he would be back with a contract or the gift card. 15 minutes later he came back and said he was waiting on the General Manager and I should keep waiting. This was in my opinion a stall tactic. I was polite and waited 15 more minutes, at this time I told him I had spent too much time and wanted to leave. He left again and 10 minutes later another salesman tried again to get me to close the deal and when I told him that it was out of my budget, he told me that since I didn't print out the email offer, I wasn't getting my gift card. I told him that was fine, and I am glad I did not do business with his dealership because if they couldn't honor their word on $25, they definitely couldn't honor it on more than $20,000. This may seem petty and small, but a company is only as good as their word. I am active duty Air Force for over 19 years and I believe in values and a persons word. John L Sullivan's Sales Manager has neither. More
John L. Sullivan really does not care. Customer service, Joy Sanders, promised to send me the second key fob I was due and then wanted me to pay for the programming. Worst experience ever Worst car buying experience ever. Looked at a 2016 Mazda that showed prior front end damage and high mileage. Vehicle was very overpriced at $17,999 Worst car buying experience ever. Looked at a 2016 Mazda that showed prior front end damage and high mileage. Vehicle was very overpriced at $17,999, but the salesman, Gordon, insisted I make an offer, which I did at $14,000. He said let's make the deal and we went inside. I let them know I have 30 years in auto finance so I wasn't going to play games. Sell me the car for the price I offered or not. After waiting over 30 minutes for their "charade" in the Sales Manager's office, Jeff came out with his "offer". He increased the asking price by $1,000, added $4,000 in useless add-ons, and the final price was just over $25,000! I immediately left, quite upset and insulted. They phoned me a couple times trying to explain their "misunderstanding". Finally Gordon said they will sell me the car for $14,000 so I went back. I was paying cash for the vehicle so I should have been in-&-out in an hour. After waiting for an hour I went into Hutch's office where he very slowly worked up the paperwork. Then he discovered that the vehicle has a Safety Recall and they cannot even sell me the car. It has now been close to 4 hours! We left with their promise that they would take the vehicle to Mazda to have the recalls fixed the next day and call me to pick up the vehicle. This was two days ago. Still waiting for their call... Squeeze every last penny Your service department charged me $250 to diagnosis a check engine light. Even though I had the code read and knew it was a #6 cylinder misfire. Then Your service department charged me $250 to diagnosis a check engine light. Even though I had the code read and knew it was a #6 cylinder misfire. Then you wanted $3,000 to take a tear down and find the problem, and estimated another $3500 for the repairs. How much is it to re-engine? That option was never offered. I just drove my truck down the street to car max and got rid of it. Which I regret. I also regret buying a car from you guys awhile back. Never again. Kiss my xxx. More

So car was left for costly repair. When car was completed and I picked it up damage was noticed on the driver door. Contacted service person Paul and his manager and it was determined damage was done during the time car was there for service. They immediately took charge and sent car to body shop for repair. car was completed in 3 days and all is well. But was sorry to say that it even happened and I believe the technician did not know the car was damaged , but not sure of that. More

Proved me wrong I thought I could actually trust a dealership...well shame on me. John L Sullivan definitely proved me wrong on that one. When I drove off the lot unb I thought I could actually trust a dealership...well shame on me. John L Sullivan definitely proved me wrong on that one. When I drove off the lot unbeknownst to me my tire pressure was really low. I discovered this because a warning light came on. My husband took the car in (no more than 10 days after purchase) to ensure everything was OK and to have dealer put air in the tire. Well they did BUT likely over inflated it! Less than 4 montha after buying the car I got a bubble in the tire and had to pay to get it replaced. When I went back to dealer the service dept said "oh you hit a pothole, sorry, $350". I just spent over 30 grand (a little to you ALOT to me) and now because of an error you likely caused you want more money from me. I think not! I have 2 free oil changes I wouldnt cash those in if you paid me. It will just be an opportunity for the service techs to screw up my car and take me for even more money. I will never return nor will i refer friends or family. You suck JLS. More
Sales was great, service was not John Davidson was a great salesman. So was everyone through the finance process. However, once I got to the service department, it tanked. I purcha John Davidson was a great salesman. So was everyone through the finance process. However, once I got to the service department, it tanked. I purchased the Cilajet protection package and returned my car to the dealership for the installation. Nobody told me my car was going to be driven to Rancho Cordova and back (I can imagine whoever drove my SS probably had a great time in it-who knows what they did to it!). When I picked my car up, it was delivered to me with the gas light on and the gauge on the red line. How is that acceptable? It was like pulling teeth for them to even give me a gallon of gas so I could make it to the gas station, which I found ridiculous after I paid over $40,000 for the car. Their communication with the customer needs to improve as well as the treatment of the customer once the sale is finalized. More
