Disgusted! I visited John L. Sullivan Chevrolet in Roseville, CA a month ago. I was there for "six hours". I test drove three vehicles and decided on a 2018 Ch I visited John L. Sullivan Chevrolet in Roseville, CA a month ago. I was there for "six hours". I test drove three vehicles and decided on a 2018 Chevy Equinox. When I was filling out the paperwork with Robert De Venecia I mentioned I had purchased a car from them before, a little over two years ago. I told him that I was allowed to take that car home and received a call a week later with a request for more money down. ( I had already put two thousand dollars down.) When I told the salesman that I couldn't put any more money down he said "I guess we'll have to come get the car". I was in shock! I said "well, I guess you have to come get it then. He then said "Let me see what I can do". (Bluff called) I eventually got the car for a payment I could live with. I told Robert this story. He said "this was here"? I said it most certainly was. I asked him if I was approved for the Equinox. He said "yes". I asked him if they had found financing for me. I told the sales man that I could only afford $550.00 a month. I told Robert that if I wqsn't financed I would rather take my old car home and come back when they found me financing. He said "I will get you financed". After waiting for nearly a month I got a call from Dinario asking for myself and my husband to come fill out revised paperwork as they needed his income in order to purchase the vehicle. Keep in mind we live 2 hours away. We arrived after I got off work and proceeded to fill out paperwork. In the midst of filling out the paperwork Robert asked "did anyone mentioned the "revised terms"? He then told me that the monthly payment was now going to be $686.00 a month. "Again" I was in absolute shock. I had "repeatedly and emphatically" to the salesman that I could only afford $550.00 a month. He left the room and then came back and said "what do you want to do"? I said, ";I guess I have to bring the car back then". He said "take it home and I'll see what I can do". De ja vu! He said he would call me that next Monday. He never did. I finally called on Tuesday and couldn't get thru to anyone in finance so I asked to talk to a manager. When I got ahold of someone I briefly outlined what was going on. On a side note. I had called the credit union where I had my trade-in financed prior to visiting JLS with my husband.. I asked them if JLS had payed off the Captiva. They said "no" and that a payment was due and I would be late if I didn't bring a payment in two days. When I returned the Equinox the "outgoing and overly friendly attitude" was totally gone. Robert did come out and apologize however. When I got my Captiva delivered to the parking area it was "filthy" with bird poop all over one side of the car. It was obvious that since JLS hadn't got any money out of me I was no loner worth their time or effort anymore. I will "never" give this dealership my business and have told everyone at work about my" horrible" experience. I am totally "disgusted" with my experience and intend on telling everyone I know to save them from a similar unsatisfactory experience. They lack "transparency" in informing the potential customer that the contract with the APR and payment amount are not a guarantee of anything. It might be there in writing, but it is obvious that the dealership relies on "psychological" pressure to get you to accept "their" terms. No one wants to look like an idiot by having shown off their new car to friends, co-workers and relatives then have to return it. This is immoral and a terrible way to conduct business. More

I've always had a good experience here I have been using John L Sullivan Chevorlet service ever since I bought my Saturn from them years ago. I use them for routine stuff like oil changes, I have been using John L Sullivan Chevorlet service ever since I bought my Saturn from them years ago. I use them for routine stuff like oil changes, tire rotations, and repairs. Recently one of the the CV joints on an axle was about to fail but Steve was able to get it fixed in under a day and he was able to knock the price down for me. I was very appreciative he did that.
