Changed ownership from Rountree to Group 1. Had great service from the service dept in past years. Group 1 apparently does value customer service in regard to their service dept. Vehicle presented for service and vehicle scan by vin all past oil changes used Motorcraft oil. This time Shell oil used , customer not informed of this plus oil was over filled. Contacted service writer next day about oil and over fill. Returned to Group 1 to correct oil level which was 3/8 inch over top hole and was told by service tech that this ievel is in spec. Ford owners manual says otherwise. Customer wanted to drain Shell oil and replace with Motorcraft oil and correct oil level which they would do for the normal price of the higher priced Motorcraft oil change and fees of approx 69.00. No customer service here at all! I declined since I just paid for an oil change. Every service record in their system shows Motorcraft oil was used in the past til now. If I wanted a non approved brand I would have gone to one of the cheaper drive thru oil change services that is on every other street corner. Group 1 dealership certainly doesn’t stand for where service is number 1. More
