I purchase a car from them approximately 2 years ago and added 3 maintenance plans (I included the GAP coverage). The car was totaled in an accident. The Gap company requested that I cancel the other 2 pl added 3 maintenance plans (I included the GAP coverage). The car was totaled in an accident. The Gap company requested that I cancel the other 2 plans in order for them to pay out the claim. I have been working with Zaid for approximately 3 weeks to get the 2 maintenance plans canceled. I explained to you from the beginning of this process the Progressive GAP plan that I purchased via Route 23 will not pay out until the maintenance programs are canceled. This disaster has been going on for approximately 3 weeks and the plans have not been canceled. It has been hard to get him on the phone and the plans have not been canceled. He informed me that the process should be finished on September 5, 2025 which was not true. The Progressive GAP company have attempted to contact him numerous times and he does not respond. As a customer this is unfair. I cannot purchase another car until this issue is rectified. He has not rectified the issue but I keep getting calls from someone trying to sell me a car at Route 23 Nissan. He is the worst with communication. More
Update. .. 08/28/25 On more time. Incredible how they take your money on a blink of a eye, and when they have to return take them months to do anything. I ha .. 08/28/25 On more time. Incredible how they take your money on a blink of a eye, and when they have to return take them months to do anything. I have been fighting and waiting since March. Last time I got the promise to get the money in 5-7 weeks, but nothing. Like another customer said "they are scam artists". TERRIBLE TO GET REAL INFORMATION!!! Update... 07/09/25 Here we go again. I got a contact from Mikey at Nissan trying to understand the situation, like the review below is not clear and they don't have all the records, then he informed me that all the insurance that I signed the cancellations in March, were never processed to be returned me the money, what Zaid Abass that did everything with me, was always blaming the bank, but he was the one that never send over to be paid back. Definitely a terrible professional. Mikey said that he would get it clear and clean, but so far I don't have my money back and the bank keeps charging me interest over a "cancelled" insurance. Also, they charge over another "service" (oil, filter, and checking the main points of the car like tires, rims) for 4 years, but even that they messed up, because they left the car with the settings off and the all tires with the wrong PSI big time. At this point I want to get the car back to them and all my money back. They don't deserve any business. Last time I was at the dealer trying to solve it peacefully, there was another person complaining for the same reason, that means that Zaid Abass does this trick with a lot of people and Nissan is allowing it. Unfortunately I’m really disappointed with the service and support. They tell you whatever you need to hear to make a sale, but if you need them to get things done, forget. You will die waiting. They don’t answer phones, neither email. The financial team, specially Zaid Abass, will push on you every simple insurance possible because they make a great profit on them, then when you realize that all of them are a bunch of xx, and you make a scene at the dealership, they tell you that they will cancel. However it never happens, but the bank keeps charging you interest on something that is canceled, you no longer have the service. I got a BMW X7 with the promises that I would be able to get it serviced and covered Bumper to Bumper, including scratches and tires at the BMW dealer I decide to spending $11,000.00 in insurances, but them when I need the services, I get the news that none of the promises where true and I have to spend $4,000.00 to get the job done. They are ridiculous. You can get better deals and service on any other company. They promise dreams and deliver nightmares. More

⚠️ Warning to anyone buying from Route 23 Nissan: I was told $7,000 was for taxes and tags, but those were charged separately on the contract. I didn’t receive the full paperwork until days later—only was told $7,000 was for taxes and tags, but those were charged separately on the contract. I didn’t receive the full paperwork until days later—only after repeated calls and mentioning I had contacted a lawyer. They added charges for LoJack, Dealer Maintenance, and Sonsio. None of which were properly explained or not mentioned at all. This felt downright deceptive. I’ve filed complaints with the CFPB, FTC, BBB, and NJ Attorney General. No one drives 2.5 hours for a car deal just to say, "Yes, please add thousands in hidden fees to my loan." Don’t make the same mistake I did. I’m now spending hours filing complaints, researching my rights, and contacting lawyers. Do not trust what they tell you. read every document carefully and protect yourself. More
I drive 3 and half hour both ways to see and purchase a car. Prior to driving they confirmed no hidden charges after I get TrueCar price breakdown. But once I go there The 20k car becomes over 30k with var car. Prior to driving they confirmed no hidden charges after I get TrueCar price breakdown. Firstly, This was my first new car, first lease. I was very excited, to say the least. I also want to make it clear that, Fermin, the young salesman, was wonderful. Guillermo was too. Carol in the " I was very excited, to say the least. I also want to make it clear that, Fermin, the young salesman, was wonderful. Guillermo was too. Carol in the "phone call" center was kind and warm, as was the young woman at the receptionist desk. Thus, it wasn't all bad. Where it went poorly is I asked to see two lower end models because I had a price point that fit my budget. I don't want to say they said no, but they certainly did not say yes, either. They kept pushing the higher end Rogue on me, which is too much car. As a point of reference, I went in there and asked for the following things: 1. power steering. I had a '09 Civic that did not have power steering any longer. More, it did not have AC which is the 2nd thing I asked for. Third, I wanted the blind spot detection lights because the accident got into once was because someone was driving in my blind spot. Then, the last thing was CD player because I have CD's from my youth and I'm nostalgic. That's all I wanted. I ended up with bells and whistles that I don't need. Look, I got the car at a price that I can handle. But, it was the inferred refusal to bring out the lower end models. Then, I dealt with "the closer." What a pushy jerk. He went by John. Dunno if that's an ALIAS or not. Lastly, the guy in the finance room who tried to jack up my price. Also, I WAS THERE FOR 8 HOURS! I had to call them to see if my plates came in. No one called me. They applied for a loan for some reason, in my name, even though I made it clear I wanted to lease. That dinged my credit score that I've bene trying to repair. What should have been a fun experience was completely ruined by these folks. The other folks I mentioned are good people. More
Nissan should read these reviews - this dealership is shameful and deceitful at a minimum. They are the epitome of bait and switch - they add fees to the posted price that are astronomical - and want to shameful and deceitful at a minimum. They are the epitome of bait and switch - they add fees to the posted price that are astronomical - and want to haggle with you - just be honest, post an honest price, don't jack up your fees and then lie and say - these are required by law - we have to charge this amount - um, no you don't, as anyone who has purchased a vehicle before knows. I wish I would have read the reviews before wasting my time at this sham of a car dealership. More
