Had to take my KIA Niro into the shop because of an overheating problem which ended up needing to have the engine torn down and rebuilt. My car was less than a week old when the glass in the rear view mirror cracked overnight. Because it was so new, and because I wasn’t even in the car when it happened, I was under the impression that it rear view mirror cracked overnight. Because it was so new, and because I wasn’t even in the car when it happened, I was under the impression that it fell under warranty. When I asked the people at the dealership about it, they were extremely passive aggressive. I had to call the Kia manufacturer, who told me that it did fall within warranty, and only then was my part fixed by the Kia service department. I understand why the service department didn’t fix my mirror immediately, but I do not appreciate how passive-aggressive the folks at the service department were when they called to let me know they would be fixing the part. More
