I have purchased 3 Honda cars/suvs from Rusty Wallis (RW) since 2006 including an Accord, Pilot and a Ridgeline.I recently purchased a 2011 Odyssey from another dealer in Denton and I will get to that. First since 2006 including an Accord, Pilot and a Ridgeline.I recently purchased a 2011 Odyssey from another dealer in Denton and I will get to that. First off no matter what price Rusty Wallis list on line or gives you a quote for via email, it usually will not include "dealer installed options. However almost every Honda dealer in the Dallas area does the same thing. Almost every car that comes into the lot has something extra slapped on it. These include tinted windows, splash guards, pin striping, wheel locks, fabric or leather sealer/protector, etc., etc.. The reason I went to the dealer in Denton as at the time 2011 Odyssey Touring models were very hard to fine and RW wanted almost $5000 over invoice for the one they had on the lot. The Odyssey Touring model already comes with almost everything but the kitchen sink! I cannot imagine what RW had added to it to jack it up that much. The dealer in Denton had added splash guards, a side molding and tinted glass on the front doors. They told me that up front. They were willing to negotiate the cost of these down somewhat and actually discounted the MSRP slightly. However, I have a large family and have purchased new Fords, Toyotas and Nissans as well over the last six years they all do the same as RW. RW is no better no worse. There are a few dealers that will actually quote you an out the door price and stick to it, but they are far and few between. The best advice I can give, expect the worse, and don't pin your hopes on a "super deal". It usually ain't gonna happen. Research, the internet, get MSRP, Invoice price and current average price what paying. If you are trading in, know the trade in value of you car. This one area they will really try to it to you. Do not "fall in love" with a car an cave in to them during negotiations. Set you price you are willing to pay, what you realistically can expect for your trade in. Do not, I repeat do not ever talk how much you can pay a month. That is a trap. Only negotiate total price of the car, less your trade and/or down payment. Absolutely insist on a detailed/itemized list for the cost of each and every option. Make sure they these options in the sales agreement. If something goes wrong with options during the warranty period you have a record of the fact they were dealer installed. If the installed options such a pin stripes, protector/sealer have not value to you(and they shouldn't no matter what the sales people say) insist they deduct it from the price. Simple say it adds no value to the vehicle and has no value to you. Finally, be prepared to walk away. Seriously. When I purchase a new Nissan for my grandchild last year, at the end of negotiations were were $150 apart. I left. A few minutes later the over manager called my cell and said were only $150 apart. I said "well its my money! And now its $175 because they wasted my valuable time and could have given in while I was at the dealership." I got the $175 off the price.. Remember IT IS YOUR MONEY.. Car dealerships have had a hundred years of experience lightning peoples wallets. As a closing note, I would recommend RW if you are purchasing a new Honda, they are not a bad dealership. But as with any dealership they are in business to make money. I would highly recommend their service department and body. Their workmanship is excellent and their prices are fair. More

Good experience, however car needed alignment 2 days after purchase. I was given the internet price, which was good. Boris picked me up at my house and talked to me about my fears of driving after the after purchase. I was given the internet price, which was good. Everybody was friendly starting with Paul to Jeff and all the way to John who stayed with me after closing hours when Paul had to go home. Also, Jeff accommodated my wife's request to print out another form the way to John who stayed with me after closing hours when Paul had to go home.
