Avoid this dealer at all costs! ! They added thousands in fees called an “addendum fee” which equaled $3000 on a $29,500 car. This is in addition to tax, licensing, etc (the normal ! I inquired about their Toyota Highlander listed on Cars.com in Dec. 2023. I had been looking for one for over a month and had test driven several before reaching out to STG. We communicated via text and I was ready to buy and wanted to start the purchase process before driving down to see and pick-up the vehicle. Thank goodness I did. The Cars.com price was $29,500. I asked them to provide the total out the door price. They sent me $34,700. Which made no sense as I calculated with taxes, licensing, processing to be about $31,900. I immediately asked them to break down the fees and after going around a bit, they started a $3000 addendum fee. They started shady stuff like: 1. Come here as there is power in your presence 2. We have 14 Highlanders so we have one in your price range. (I was fine with the $29,500 but wanted it for $27,500 but I would have bought it at $29,500 plus taxes and licensing. 3. The “addendum” isn’t a deal breaker because we can make it fit your payments. Multiple sales people reached out and it was just despicable. I’ve since seen that they have great deals on highly desirable cars so they can do a bare and switch. I’m certain if they are this shady and misrepresent the purchase that they are shady with the vehicle history/ repairs, etc. Don’t let their online “good deal” prices sway you. Ask for everything in writing and calculate the taxes yourself so they can’t bundle their egregious fees into the price. More
The sales associate was nice but the manager is an immovable object and will try to convince you to pay $4k in add ons on top of the listed vehicle price.
