My SVG Adventure The overall experience of purchasing my vehicle was like pulling teeth. We were initially attracted to the vehicle by what appeared to be a reasonable The overall experience of purchasing my vehicle was like pulling teeth. We were initially attracted to the vehicle by what appeared to be a reasonable price considering its age and mileage. The salesman went with us on our first test drive; when we returned we began to look closely at the vehicle and found a couple things we thought should be taken care of: little body dings where rust had started, and floormats that were worn out. We were told that the "body man" would take care of those and that the vehicle would be detailed and ready to go in a couple days. A week later it still wasn't ready, although I had been told on the phone that it was. It had not been detailed if the word "detailed" has any meaning; the floormats had not been replaced, and the body dings looked like they had been touched up with a brush and some Testor's model car enamel, and the dealership clearly did not want to give a single cent to accommodate my wife and I for the jerking around we had been subjected to. If the vehicle had not been what I was looking for in the price range I had set for myself, I would have walked in a heartbeat. Typical lies and exaggerations; it's places like this that help to maintain used car salesmen's bad reputation. More
