I had been thinking about changing my car for some time, but couldn't decide on which one to get. This went on for a few months, until I settled on getting an SUV. I emailed them through their website and got a response the very next day (mind you, I sent it on a Sunday), ready to make an appointment to go take a look. I went the next day, traded in my car for a decent offer, and drove out with my perfect car a couple hours later. They made the process very easy, and had a really good financing deal. More

I brought my Mazda to Chantilly Mazda when it started to make noises when applying the brakes. Chantilly tried multiple times (I dropped off my car about 4 times for the same issue) to fix it and finally sa make noises when applying the brakes. I went to Fairfax where the technicians were able to identity the problem right away and fix it quickly. They provided me with a loaner car and the customer service was excellent. They even called the next day to check to make sure everything was ok. I was very upset with my Mazda experience in Chantilly and was starting to regret buying a Mazda. The Fairfax team changed my opinion of Mazda and I will definitely be taking it there from now on. Great experience with Fairfax Mazda! More

On Friday, 5/17, since we still had not heard from Brown's Cars, my husband called them again. While we should have known that something was fishy when Bob didn't want to take our deposit, we trusted Bob and Nasif based on Brown's supposedly decent reputation and Bob's handshake. Evidently, Brown's Cars Auto Group has very little regard for customers and for their own reputation. I wouldn't trust buying any car from them at this point. If they don't even care enough about earning NEW customers, I can't imagine what they do to existing customers that take their cars to Browns for any type of work. Since they outright LIE to customers, I would be very hesitant about trusting anything they were to tell me about repairs or work that they suggest for the car. STAY AWAY FROM BROWN'S CARS AUTO GROUP!!!!!!! They have several locations so avoid all of them. And if you do go and find yourself speaking to someone named Bob Williams (who claims he is the Used Car Sales Manager for all of their locations), RUN!!! Really . . . don’t even waste your time. Only Mazda dealer in the Northern Virginia area to work seriously with me on the price and options. Took note of my position and met it with an honest response. General Manager Trey Rodgers requested that we write a review of our experience. It really wasn't very good. No, that's too nice, it sucked. We were referred to Brown's Fairfax Mazda by the Navy Federa review of our experience. It really wasn't very good. No, that's too nice, it sucked. We were referred to Brown's Fairfax Mazda by the Navy Federal Credit Union buying program. This program was supposed to save us money and speed up the purchase process. It didn't work out that way. They whole crew at Brown's Fairfax Mazda is very nice - I can't complain about that. Fast, they are not. They are incredibly slow. They also don't seem very interested in selling cars. We thought we had a deal with them and we signed all the paperwork, the loan application, signed over the title on our trade-in (this was after spending almost 6 hours in their showroom . . . . did I mention they are slow?). A couple of days later they called us to say they couldn't sell us the car because it had been damaged on the lot. They didn't seem very interested in finding us another car - I ended up doing the inventory searches and found several prospects but they were not interested in making a deal. Two days later we went to Rosenthal Arlington Mazda (at 6:30 on a Friday evening) and drove out before 10PM in the vehicle we wanted with a better deal than anything we even discussed with Browns. I should add this is the second time I have had this kind of experience with Brown's and the ONLY reason we went there this time was due to the referral from the Navy Federal Program. The Navy Fed program got us a discount of $380 off MSRP - that is not much of a deal on a Mazda. Rosenthal Arlington Mazda was able to give us a substantially better deal and we didn't have to sit around for 6 hours while they played the "manager" game. One funny part of the experience with Brown's is that the Salesman, Sales Manager, and General Manager apparently don't understand the automated customer contact (e-mail) system they have. Even though the deal fell through and we walked out, we keep getting e-mails thanking us for our business, congratulating us on our purchase, and inviting us to leave feedback at a variety of sites (even providing links for our convenience).
