In January of 2021 I was told a new transmission was installed in our 2014 Escape. Yesterday 8-2-2022 I was stranded in Delaware with a transmission problem. The car was towed to Safford Ford in Salisbu installed in our 2014 Escape. Yesterday 8-2-2022 I was stranded in Delaware with a transmission problem. The car was towed to Safford Ford in Salisbury the same day. During the break down I made several calls to the service department and was told by two service advisors there was 2 year unlimited mileage warranty. When the transmission was installed in 2021 I was told the transmission had a 3 year 36000 mile warranty. When arriving to the dealership I was asking a service advisor,why was their only a two year warranty on the transmission? She indicated it was a refurbished transmission. As a surprise to me I thought it was a brand new transmission installation. Anyway Safford for was going through an ownership change to Pohanka. There was no service manager there , so i asked to talk to the owner. No surprise to me there was no owner either. Any way I paid 5800.00 which is a new transmission price. Beware, you are not getting a new transmission they won't tell you this when they install a transmission. There is nothing on the receipt indicating it was a refurbished transmission and nothing indicating the warranty. Safford Ford has a serious integrity problem. I'm very disappointed because they have done all the service work on this vehicle. There have been other problems but this last one has really pissed me off. More

Can never duplicate problems. Everything I have the oil is changed in my 2018 mustang Gt its at lest a quart low . Just brought the car in for front in noise and navigation issues and left with the same problems I took it in for .The only difference is that I had $ 165.00 more when I brought it in . As far as staff all the ladies were nice and friendly. The advisor Joshua is very much under qualified for the service department . His PRIMARY interest is money and not customer satisfaction. This is a nice comment compared to what I really feel. More
