The car had no problems except for the check engine light which was giving error code 0018 crankshaft and camshaft timing mismatch. Based on this they wanted to change the crankshaft and the camshaft. I trie which was giving error code 0018 crankshaft and camshaft timing mismatch. Based on this they wanted to change the crankshaft and the camshaft. I tried to tell them trouble shooting on the internet said variable valve timing solenoid and if either crankshaft or camshaft then the car would make noise, trouble starting or something but it ran smooth they said the crankshaft and the camshaft would cost $2200. I took it to a mechanic and he replaced the solenoid and set the timing for $180. More
