I was provided a list of items that were “recommended” to be fixed, including a nail in my tire. I purchased the tires from Costco which has free tire repair. While I appreciated that the nail was identified and the mechanic suggested they fix it, I am more concerned that they missed the slash across the treads down to the belts that cannot be fixed. I would’ve paid the $60 repair cost and the issue wouldn’t have been fixed. And I am sure, if I returned, the dealership would not have take. Responsibility for missing the slash across the treads. Also, I have mentioned a number of times when I brought my car in for oil changes that there seems to be something wrong with the bushings on the front drivers side wheel only to be told that the “car has to warm up” and the noise will go away. Interesting that this is one of the items needing repair in the list provided to me at my recent visit. These and more issues are causing me to lack confidence in not only what I am being told but the quality of the work being done at this dealership. I'm incredibly frustrated with my recent service at Safford Brown Mazda Chantilly. I felt like a number, not a customer. They seem to only do the bare minimum and don't show any genuine care. The process was a mess: The mobile app constantly reminds you that service is due, but you can't actually schedule an appointment with it and the system keeps sending reminders even after you're booked. Once I dropped off my car, the inattentiveness was obvious: No complimentary wash or vacuum. The worst part was finding the driver's seat cover left open after the work—I had to ask them to close it! It just showed a complete lack of a final quality check. To top it off, a simple maintenance job quoted at one hour ended up taking far longer. The staff gave me one bad time estimate after another, showing they don't value my time. I waited while the car was in service since the dealership does not off Uber/Lyft or pickup/drop off ride service from home/work. It was a truly careless and disappointing experience. More
