Less than 1 star! !! Worst Experience Ever! My son, daughter and I purchased vehicles from Sam Leman Peoria on the same day. I told them not to submit my financing bec !! Worst Experience Ever! My son, daughter and I purchased vehicles from Sam Leman Peoria on the same day. I told them not to submit my financing because I was going to check with my local bank and see if I could get financing through them. After having the vehicle for 2 days the inside of the door fell off and I realized that the turn signal did not work. I went to Sean Straley on the 2nd day and said I did not want the vehicle and he told me too bad because they already ran my financing. I told them they were not supposed to run my financing! After 30 mins of me crying and throwing a fit he finally took me in the office and said he would look for another vehicle for me...ok that's great! He then told me that he couldn't give me my trade in back because they already started working on it (not that they ran my financing!) When I picked up the 2016 Jeep Cherokee Limited 84,000 miles that he found for me it was pouring down rain. I liked it and it seemed to drive ok so I bought it with my own financing. When I got it home I saw it needed new tires...I was mad but oh well it happens, so I paid $500 for new tires. 40 days after having it I noticed that it was leaking oil while idling. I took it to my mechanic so he could diagnosis the problem and found out it was a $750 repair! Needless to say I called my sales lady Carrie and explained this to her and she said she would speak to her manager. I even said I understood if they can't cover the whole thing but if they would cover the labor I would pay for the parts. Carrie calls me back and says they can't help me!! Mind you she got 3 vehicle sales from me in one day!! This place is horrible. Vehicles are expensive enough without having the dealerships sell you lemons!!! My vehicle did not just start leaking oil, when they did the "15 point inspection", which I requested and have not received, they knew it was leaking oil!! Now I'm stuck paying for the repair and the huge car payment. Please Please do not take your hard earned money to these crooks. Sean treated me so unprofessionally. While I'm bawling my eyes out he looked at me with a cold face and said there's nothing I can do for you!! My oldest son was cosigning for my youngest son. I left the finance office for a minute and the finance manager switched it around and now my oldest son is the owner of my youngest vehicle!! My boys are 22 and 19 even if they told them what they were doing they did not understand and of course no one mentioned it to me when I stepped back into the office!!! CROOKS!!! ALL OF THEM!!! More
The sales management at the Sam Leman CDJR Peoria location is utterly horrible and that is an understatement. After purchasing a brand new $74K vehicle which turned out to be unrepairable and actuall location is utterly horrible and that is an understatement. After purchasing a brand new $74K vehicle which turned out to be unrepairable and actually made worse by their service department after multiple attempts at resolving the issue and scratching the wheels, door sill and door panel, the manufacturer bought it back. I requested Sam Leman and the manufacturer to build the same vehicle for the price I paid. The Sam Leman of Peoria sales manager and general sales manager attempted to charge me an extra $7,000 on top of the $7,000 the manufacturer was willing to contribute despite a majority of the 691 miles driven on the vehicle before lemon law buyback were driven by their employees vs. myself over the few months I owned it. I was paying insurance and payments on it to sit in their service department, outside in their lot waiting on parts or driven home by their technicians. Shame on this dealership for leading me to believe they valued my business and I would be taken care of. Their true colors shined through once the sale was finalized. They could have cared less about the quality of the product they sold or in building a repeat and loyal customer relationship once the sale was finalized and they had my money. In the end after the FCA regional service advisor told me that the vibration was the worst he had seen in these trucks and couldn’t be fixed on mine (i.e. Out of spec), they attempted to make it right. But Don was adamant on getting another $7K so I pursued the lemon law buyback because they were trying to take advantage of the situation at my expense. The entire buyback process was a nightmare because again, I was continuing to pay for a vehicle I wasn't driving (payments and insurance) and Sam Leman didn't guide me through it. I had to figure it out in my own with FCA. Then I had to literally research Illinois statutes and prove that Sam Leman would need to refund the taxes I paid and obtain them back from the state because manufacturers aren't liable for refunding the tax portion in Illinois. The dealer is accountable for that portion. It consumed a ton of my time because no one at Sam Leman knew the process nor did they have any interest in helping me through it. More
I would definitely recommend Dennis Scott Sales Representative he sold us a car and he is a awesome to work with! They didn’t even deserve a 1 star! They lie to the customer just to get a sale! She lied the whole time knowing full well the percentage rate & the finance company! They also lie & say there is no co-signer! If the there is no co-signer then why did they insist on 1 name being first & that 1 person signing first! Anything to get a sale they lie just like Greens on Knoxville! I think I’m going to tell my daughter to take the vehicle back! The more I think about it the more it pisses me off that I was being lied to straight to my face by that supposed sales person! More
