Makes it sound like a good deal, then adds all kinds of fees into the deal, and I was stupid enough to let him!! I should have known from the start. He advertised a car that I wanted to see and then when I drove to see it, the car was literally stalling in the parking lot, and he did not mention it on the phone but let me find out in person!! I am an idiot!!! He offered me a lower price on the car, and I thought I could fix the stalling easily, thinking it was just a bad sensor. After agreeing to the lower price, he tells me about $500 in registration fees, taxes, title, stickers, etc., and like an idiot I went along with it!! That xxxxing guy charged me $250 to electronically register the vehicle, when the going rate here is $50!!! (Or free if I go to the DMV myself!!) moe shokrai had the car for 6 months, even titling it in SD import center name, and didn't tell me about a 100% bad/leaking shock the car had in front, bad shocks in back (had to replace all 4), bad front speaker, and that the car was in come kind of accident and the front fender was bondo'd....which I found out when part of it cracked off when I was attempting to install some body clips I noticed that were missing. moe shokrai IS A LIAR!!! I WOULD NEVER BUY A CAR FROM HIM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. HE IS A LIAR AND A SCAMMER, THAT IS HOW HE MAKES HIS MONEY. GOOD LUCK! Remember, there is always small claims court which is free for you. If it is worth your time, I highly recommend it. More
WARNING!! BEWARE!! 100% DISHONEST DEALER Moe Shokrai SAN DIEGO IMPORT CENTER 7990 DAGGET ST Suite A-14 SAN DIEGO, CA 92111 We bought a vehicle from Moe/San Diego Import Center, paid ove Moe Shokrai SAN DIEGO IMPORT CENTER 7990 DAGGET ST Suite A-14 SAN DIEGO, CA 92111 We bought a vehicle from Moe/San Diego Import Center, paid over 50% down, which was $12,000. Per the contract, we were to pay the balance of $6,000 in 10 days. The engine blew out on the freeway in 3 days. Luckily, there were no personal injuries. The repair estimate was $11,000. Moe/San Diego Import Center refused to honor the warranty. He wanted to back date an extended warranty contract, thus defrauding “Auto Life RX.” They were notified and pulled his ability to sell their product. Moe/San Diego Import Center then sued us in small claims for the $6,000 balance of the contract. We had no running vehicle, a huge repair bill, a dishonest dealer and an incomplete original sales contract (no contract cancellation clause per CA law). Shockingly, Moe/San Diego Import Center prevailed and Moe proceeded to threaten a lien even though it’s completely illegal to start collection until after appeal findings. However, to stop the harassment and save our credit, we gave Moe/San Diego Import Center a good faith check for $6,000 to hold in escrow. HE CASHED IT!!!! We won on appeal and requested a refund. Moe/San Diego Import Center refuses to pay. Further, he never repaired the car, paid the storage fees and he marked our credit. Next step: filing in Superior Court. Every part of this transaction is supported with documentation, including that from the courts. We lost a total of $22,000 to Moe/San Diego Import Center. His positive YELP reviews are fabricated. He has never been a Better Business Bureau member. PLEASE DON'T GIVE HIM THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENDANGER YOU AND YOUR FAMILY PHYSICALLY OR FINANCIALLY! He does, however, have a disco ball in his office. My earlier review was before the following and I was skeptical on the dealers follow through. After purchasing my vehicle it had problems. At first the dealer denied this. Ended up going to the manuf skeptical on the dealers follow through. After purchasing my vehicle it had problems. At first the dealer denied this. Ended up going to the manufacturer dealership to get inspected and found problems. After informing Moe of these problems he offered to fix them at his mechanic. I ended up having to split the cost of the repairs which were originally 6000 but he got everything done for 2000. So 1000 more on my end. I have to admit that the car is 100% better. Even though I ended up paying a little more, I am happy with the work and happy with Moe's willingness to help with repairing the vehicle after the sale. I will also point out that the only thing covered in the warranty that needed replacement was the clutch. So he had more repaired than required from him. In the end, I am happy. More
