I've been going to Honda Marina Service Center since I bought my car in 2000. I stayed with them mainly because I trusted their Service Advisors who unfortunately they were not able to keep. I went for th bought my car in 2000. I stayed with them mainly because I trusted their Service Advisors who unfortunately they were not able to keep. I went for the annual check-up on May 6, 2025 and the Service Advisor John told me I needed new tires. He recommended Toyo with their best price of about $1100. He also said my battery was going bad and needed to be recharged, not replaced, for $275. I refused these two offers because I sensed I was being taken to the cleaners. I went ahead with oil change, coolant an wiper blades. The following day, May 7, 2025, I went to Wheel Works on Franklin St. I got new Firestone tires for about $600 and the test result of my battery was good. I really appreciated their pricing and the Service Advisor Stephen came across as trustworthy. One would think Honda Marina would treat me right because I have been with them for 25 years. It seems they don't value loyalty. The lesson I learned is do not get tied up with a service center because you've gotten comfortable. Don't just trust. Verify and compare. They just lost someone who could have been a lifetime customer. If this is common in Marina Service Center, they will undoubtedly adversely affect the name and reputation of Honda because it carries the name. The Service Advisor is key to the relationship. You must know this. More
