3/18/2010- Update on this situation. After writing this review as well as sending out a similiar email to BBB of AZ, the AZ Attorney General, the GM of the dealership as well as to numerous news stations around the valley that help consumers in situations like I was in, the dealership decided to work with me. They admitted that they sold me on the "wrong" extended warranty, which I was able to cancel, and they did extend me a new warranty at no cost. During this process I worked with numerous folks at the dealership. The sales manager lied to my boyfriends face and said that they are a Rousch certified dealer, even have a "sticker" on their door, even though Ford Motor Company and Rousch both confirmed that they are in fact NOT a Rousch certified dealer. I was also told by one person that the new warranty that was being extended to me was double the cost of what the original warranty was, even though the finance person admitted that it was only $2200. (the original warranty sold to me was $2400). I was also told that based off of the steps that their dealership took to "right" the situation, that they expect me to re-contact everyone I originally contacted and take back my original communication, "because they had already contacted their attorneys". I feel that was a threat used to try and intimidate me. All in all, I feel that unless I had taken the immediate steps that I had the dealership would have either done nothing or sat on the issue for alot longer than they did. It is still my belief that I was led into a vehicle under shady sales tactics and I will never purchase a vehicle from that dealership, let alone any Ford dealership, based on my experience at San Tan Ford.
