My wife and I were waiting at a stop light in our 2016 BMW X5 when we were rear ended January 2020. Fortunately no one was physically injured. We called our Sandia BMW Client Advisor, Kurt Johnson, from w BMW X5 when we were rear ended January 2020. Fortunately no one was physically injured. We called our Sandia BMW Client Advisor, Kurt Johnson, from whom we had purchased the car, for advice. He directed us to Loid's Collision Center, a BMW Certified Collision Repair Center. The damage was expertly repaired and billed to the at fault insurance. Thinking that was the end of it, Kurt explained that we could submit a claim against their insurance for decreased value due to our car being in an accident. He introduced us to Jim Dobier, Certified Auto Appraiser, with NM Auto Appraisal. Jim inspected our car and Loid's Collision repair report. He put together a Diminished Value Appraisal with a 36 page determination of deprecation. After negotiating, I settled with their insurance. It pays to stay in touch with your BMW associate like Kurt Johnson for advice and guidance. More
