The dealership sent me a coupon for a $74. 99 oil change but would not honor it once the service was completed. I presented it prior to the work being done, however, it wasn’t until after they 99 oil change but would not honor it once the service was completed. I presented it prior to the work being done, however, it wasn’t until after they performed the oil change that they said the coupon was not for “high performance” vehicles. I was charged $192 for an oil change that I booked thinking would be $74.99. I will never go here again only to be scammed into full price service. More
In addition to the billing discrepancy, I have serious concerns regarding the manner in which my vehicle and this repair were handled by Sansone Jeep. After GEICO approved the repair estimate, the fina concerns regarding the manner in which my vehicle and this repair were handled by Sansone Jeep. After GEICO approved the repair estimate, the final invoice was increased. I was informed by my service advisor, Jenna, that GEICO had not paid the full amount of the repair. Because my vehicle was being withheld until payment was made, I felt I had no choice but to pay the additional charges to retrieve my vehicle. After leaving the dealership, I contacted GEICO and was advised that they had paid the approved repair amount in full, less my $250 deductible. This information leads me to believe that I was improperly charged for repairs that should have been covered under my Mechanical Breakdown Insurance policy. I later discovered that my vehicle had been involved in a collision while it was in the care, custody, and control of Sansone Jeep. The damage was not minor—it caused significant damage to the rear quarter panel of my vehicle, requiring body shop repairs. At no point did anyone at the dealership disclose this incident to me. Instead, my repair invoice included a rear light listed as a "no charge" item, which appears to have been added without explanation. Given what I later learned, this entry gives the appearance that the damage caused while my vehicle was in the dealership's possession was being quietly repaired without informing me of the actual incident. When I called to discuss these concerns, my service advisor, Jenna, refused to speak with me and instead transferred me to the Service Manager. The Service Manager apologized for the incident, acknowledged the situation, arranged to have my vehicle repaired at Sansone Jeep's expense, and provided me with a loaner vehicle while the repairs were being completed. Although I appreciated the Service Manager taking responsibility for repairing the damage, the overall handling of the situation remained unacceptable. My vehicle remained in the body shop for approximately two weeks, and when the repairs were completed, Jenna never contacted me to let me know my vehicle was ready for pickup. The only reason I became aware that the repairs had been completed was because my vehicle is equipped with a GPS tracking device, which showed that it had been returned from the body shop to the dealership. I have worked in the automotive industry for more than 40 years and understand the standards of professionalism, customer communication, and ethical conduct expected of a dealership and service department. Based on that experience, I find Sansone Jeep's handling of this matter to be negligent. Failing to disclose significant damage that occurred while my vehicle was in their care, providing inaccurate information regarding insurance payments, and failing to keep me informed throughout the repair process demonstrates a serious lack of transparency and accountability. Customers place a great deal of trust in a dealership when leaving their vehicles for service. In my opinion, Sansone Jeep failed to uphold that responsibility. I believe consumers should be able to rely on a dealership to be honest and transparent when problems arise. Based on my experience, I would be very hesitant to recommend Sansone Jeep's service department or to entrust them with my vehicle in the future. More
