I went into this dealership already having the idea of coming out with a new car. I was a little hesitant going in and having the thought of a possibility to walk back out with nothing but Christian said coming out with a new car. Working with Schaumburg Honda was a terrible experience. I called and talked with them about the vehicle I wanted to purchase. I was going to drive 4 hours and pay cash for the vechicle. We settled on a price for the vehicle and I was all set to go. The next day I was told that the vehicle was "no longer available due to reconditioning needs" and that the car would be going to auction. When I asked questions about why or what was wrong with it. I kept getting "this car is just no longer available". No communication. I ended up finding a car at a much better dealership with great customer service. Then the same day I WAS going to go buy the car at Schaumburg, they sent me an email that the car is available, but that they raised the price. This place is a joke and can't be trusted. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to buy a car from these people! More

I was led to believe that as a prior lease vehicle the former lease was required to bring vehicle to dealership for service. I also was told that detailed service records would not be available until the next business day but I was given a Carfax with no service records prior to 16,000 miles. I should have waited. The next week I was told there were no other service records. I would not have pursued the purchase had I known that. Schaumburg Honda did offer a free oil change but my local Honda dealership, Napleton, also offered me a free oil change and tire rotation so I went there instead. I am also still waiting to hear from American Honda finance to be able to set up the account and payment arrangements. I think this review sounds more negative than I feel. There is really only those two issues but to be fair, I would have passed on this vehicle if I had known it had not received the proper service while it was leased. More
