I recently purchased a CPO Honda Fit (2017 LX) from Schaumburg Honda, and was pleasantly surprised at how fair and easy this dealership was to work with. I visited four Honda dealerships searching Schaumburg Honda, and was pleasantly surprised at how fair and easy this dealership was to work with. I visited four Honda dealerships searching for the right CPO Fit. At the others, the vehicle they said were in stock were not (Honda City), were priced thousands of dollars *higher* in their lot than advertised online (Lisle), and gave me the song and dance routine about the dealership losing money on vehicles, kbb being unreliable (despite being owned by Cox and having all the access to Mannheim auction prices), etc. Schaumburg Honda stood out for being different. Their prices were fair, priced at kbb and carfax recommendations instead of starting off thousands of dollars higher, and their inventory accurately reflected what I was told on the phone. Most impressively, the sales rep and manager honored my request to put our negotiated price in writing for me to be able to take home and get another pair of eyes on the deal before buying. In my view, this is a key mark of a dealership interested in providing clients with fair deals- no other Honda dealership I visited would do this, and no other was interested in coming down to a fair price. I was also pleasantly surprised in the finance department, where I had been expecting a range of dealer fees and pressure to finance. Instead, I found an environment that listened to and respected my specific financial situation as a client. I’m only one client and purchased only one car here, so it’s possible that others experiences may be different. And I can’t yet comment on how reliable the vehicle itself is since I just purchased it recently. But based on my experience in the dealership, I’d highly recommend Schaumburg Honda, and have already recommended it to my friends- which I frankly never imagined I would do for a dealership. (I rated the quality of work at only a 4 because the gas tank was not filled up and the tire pressure was not up to winter standards. The car itself seems in great condition). More
