Disrespectful Crook This place is a joke. The sales general manager Gene Shenkhan is the most disrespectful crook I've ever met. They only care about you when you are a n This place is a joke. The sales general manager Gene Shenkhan is the most disrespectful crook I've ever met. They only care about you when you are a new sale but after that you are a waste of their time. I was in 3 years ago for a new accord lease. We had agreed on a lease for 36 months. Or so I thought. During the negotiation process, they had changed it to 39 months without informing me. My mistake was to trust them and sign without having verified this one detail. You live and you learn. But now that I am back trying to return the lease, which is in perfect condition apart from needing 2 new tires for wear and tear (which I agreed to pay for), and they refuse to take the car back. Apparently you need a 3rd party inspection which I am willing to do but it is not available for a month past my already scammingly extended lease date. I was informed by Honda Financial Corporate Office that I can ask to dealership to an inspection and return it that way. So I had called Schaumburg Honda and the lady at service concurred and assured me that this inspection would suffice and booked the apt. I showed up for my appointment today and was told that the inspection by the dealership would NOT suffice and that they cannot take the car. If I chose to "ground" my car with them, I would still be liable for any damage that the car incurs while on their lot. They also could not guarantee how long the car would sit in their lot until an inspection was done. Could be 1 month, could be 6. When I tried to speak to the "general manager" Gene, he told me I don't have common sense (for a situation that was out of my control due to Honda Corporate not having sufficient inspection apts available and having been lied to by their own dealership service, right?) and that he can ground the car or I can leave. He told me he does not want to have a "conversation" about this and walked away. Because the sale was made 3 years ago and now I'm a waste of his slimy time. Unbelievable. Please respect your own sanity and don't give them your business. And stay far away from Gene - he will scam you and treat you like garbage. Gene embodies all of the qualities that people warn you about when they say don't trust car dealers. More
