Poor Customer Communication Hi, I made an appointment for 6PM more than 24 hours in advance to get 2 Honda Odyssey PAX tires replaced. I was informed that they had the tires and Hi, I made an appointment for 6PM more than 24 hours in advance to get 2 Honda Odyssey PAX tires replaced. I was informed that they had the tires and to bring the van in. So my first complaint with this place is, don't bother making an appointment. I have yet to see what the benefit of this is. You drive up, sit in a line and wait anyway. As a matter of fact, the guy behind me got his car taken care of before me, at least he had a number in his window and got out while I still waited. Then the service guy (not friendly at all) asked if I was getting an alignment, and I asked if that came with the installation of the tires, naturally, NO. Then as he was filling out paperwork I informed him I had a coupon for the service, he, without looking at it, said, "I will accept that even though we're not supposed to." Sooo, I presented a coupon, but he was doing me a favor by accepting it. I immediately asked him to show me where it said that on the coupon. He couldn't and just said, "Oh we normally don't take those" Keep in mind it was a Rohrman Honda Mailer Coupon. Now, the coupon specifically said, $75 OFF $700 + Service cost. Mine was over $700, he wrote down a $50 discount. I tried to call him out on it, but didn't feel like talking to this guy anymore about the math, and figured I'd deal with it at time of payment...which I did indeed have to have corrected. But this isn't the worst. After talking some more, he said it would take a while , maybe 3 hours, and asked if I was dropping off or would I wait. I said I would wait and he offered me a loaner so I could "run errands and stuff". Cool. then he reminded me that it would take a while and they closed at midnight. To which I specifically asked, " It will be ready before then, right?" He said "Oh yes." I took the loaner, got food, ran some errands, came back around 9-ish figuring I'd wait out the rest of the appointment. Around 10 o clock, someone comes out and says " OH, you're still here, your car won't be ready until tomorrow!" At this point I'm furious, so I asked, " around what time? 8-9?" Knowing they start around 7. He says, "around noon" ! I was specifically told my car would be ready that night, I need that car because it fits the car seats for my kids, it's a situation that I need to plan around with other people to make sure I have a car that can fit all the kids and car seats, which I wasn't sure this little hatchback could do. I went home, cooled off, once I was able to squeeze the 3 seats into the back of the car, barely and waited. Around 9 am I got the call, that my car was ready, I was able to pick it up around 10. Had to have the clerk call the service guy to come out and get my discount fixed, like I figured I would. Dude, couldn't even look me in the eye and apologize for the inconvenience. I was told my van was outside to the left, it was not. So I walked half way down the lot, with my kids to find it, make sure I wasn't blind, before I came in and found out it was all the way in the ( had to call the steward to get it) back of the lot. Put my seats back in the van, packed up my girls and went in to return the rental keys. At that point I'm told I had to drive the rental through the garage so they could inspect it. Oh look a line! I express that I can't leave my kids in a car while I wait in that line and it would be a pain to take out all the seats and install them, then re-install them again. All I get is a frowny, stupid look like, "that's not my problem". So I ask, if I wait, can THEY have someone drive the car in to inspect it and I can wait in the van with my girls until they're done. She makes a call and they decide that's fine. Guy comes, gets the rental, drives it to back of the lot, I follow in my car, he parks it, gets out and walks away. SO I ask, "Are you done inspecting the car?" Him, "Oh yeah, it's fine". Funny, I guess I didn't need to take it through the garage after all? So, in summary, individually, I can deal with any one of these events, but the culmination of bad communication, poor customer service, a seeming lack of internal communication between service people, mechanics and clerks was just enough to make this visit a FAIL. I didn't even get a complimentary car wash, after spending $700 on 2 tires. More
