Schaumburg Honda Automobiles responded

We were more than fair to him and gave him outstanding service as well as an outstanding deal. The customer is the one who wanted us to include a free remote starter in the deal.Not once did the customer mention it had to be a Honda Factory starter. He also signed a customer we owe form stating he knew what he was getting.The complaint began after the install was done and saw a display for Honda remote starter. The remote starter was thrown in as part of his demands. He had told our service advisor he wanted a factory one, simply because he liked the display on the fob.We held up our end of the deal. It is our policy to have a signed agreement of any accessories to be placed on any vehicle.I also took the time to listen and review his complaint with him, and at that time he realized we did not promise a Factory Remote Starter. I get your point that I signed the document - so how do we fix the issue ? It could have been an honest mis-understanding - we both talking about 2 separate things. The remote start option installed in my car is really not what I am liking. How do we go forward ? I am ok with you guys uninstalling the current remote start and keeping it and then either replacing it with the Honda branded one or giving me a refund for the value of the remote start option as discussed during the purchase agreement. I would rather go to Best Buy and get a remote start option installed by them as their product gives me the features I need. If you can think of another third option that is a compromise between the two, we can discuss that too.
