While the family originally made its start with the Buick brand, the Scherer dealership is looking to take its business to the next level, offering a new and improved product with the Mazda brand. We offer a wide variety of new, high-quality Mazda models to our customers with popular models such as the versatile Mazda CX-5, the upscale and comfortable Mazda6 and the efficient Mazda3.

Here at Scherer Mazda, you're treated like family. This comes from our long history as a family business, which began back in 1905 when Otto Scherer opened his first Buick dealership in Palmyra, Wisconsin. He worked closely with his close friends and automotive giants such as David Dunbar Buick, Walter Chrysler, and C.W. Nash. The Scherer dealership was built on Scherer's philosophy of good service, quality products and great prices, which led to his respected position as a successful business owner in southern Wisconsin.
A man history won't soon forget, Scherer's business accomplishments were felt throughout the community. When his original store building burned down, Scherer took it upon himself to have a new building constructed that would house not only his own business, but a post office, medical and dental offices as well, thus "The Scherer Opera House" was built, being the first building in Palmyra to offer electric lights.
The Scherer Family has been proudly serving the Peoria area for decades and looks to do so for years to come.

No where else we'd rather go for service & maintenance We actually ended up purchasing two vehicles from Scherer Mazda back in 2016. Rob helped me troubleshoot a problem over the phone that I could have fixed myself, but I because they don't require appointments for a battery change I showed up within the hour and was out in 20 minutes. We don't plan on going anywhere else for our car service! More

Oil Change / Tire Rotation May 6 2020 This is the first time I have used Scherer to service my 2019 CX-5. I did not purchase the car at Scherer for a couple of reasons but wanted to estab This is the first time I have used Scherer to service my 2019 CX-5. I did not purchase the car at Scherer for a couple of reasons but wanted to establish myself here for service as it is close to me. It was easy getting in and set up for my oil change and tire rotation. Given the times we are in, I waited outside and enjoyed the nice weather. My car was done pretty quickly and after reviewing the work with Rob I was on to the cashier and out the door. Overall, it was a good experience. The 10% discount for this being my first visit was very nice also. I was a little surprised to see customers sitting closely with a saleswoman and no masks. Scary. One thing that I think Scherer could institute that I get at another dealer with my other car is a car wash whenever it is in for service. More
