Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy I first came in to Shortline Hyundai just to drive the new Ioniq hybrid, not 100% certain I wanted to even buy a new car. It all started from the time I first came in to Shortline Hyundai just to drive the new Ioniq hybrid, not 100% certain I wanted to even buy a new car. It all started from the time I submitted my e-lead, Tom was great. Very prompt and professional in his response and I came in on a Friday after work to take a look at the car. Tom started off by giving me a thorough walk around on the Ioniq, then we went out on a test drive. Not the typical four right turns test drive, but an extended drive onto the highway, over some rougher roads. It was great, gave me a really good feeling for the car. Then we got back and the painful part started...BUT WAIT...it wasn't painful. I told Tom my stipulations and he went and got the first pencil, which was of course more than I wanted. So we did a little more negotiation and he came back with the second pencil, still too far off for me, but I said I'd think about it and come back in the next day. Tom went and got his Manager, Rod, and we talked a little bit more. He asked what it would take to earn my business and I stated what I wanted and I still would want to think about it. No pressure was applied at all, they were very flexible and more than ok with letting me take the night to think about it. Fast forward to the next day when I decided that I wanted to hold off on getting a new car because I would have a hard time getting rid of my current car. Tom said to bring it in and they will see what they can do. So I came in on Tuesday, with a number in my head for my new payment and for my trade, which to be honest, I didn't think was possible. But they made the impossible, possible and I couldn't be happier. I don't recall the second Sales Manager's name or the Finance Manager, but they were both great. While I was there for three hours closing the deal up, it didn't feel that long and I was still able to leave feeling great about my experience. I will definitely be a repeat customer to Tom and Shortline Hyundai. More
