Missed my chance to get a Type R... Greg Ellingson Called the dealer about a used white 2017 civic Type R with 3300 miles. Greg Ellingson answered the phone and said I should come in. He introduced himself saying he was the guy who got his car totaled and written up in Jalopnik! As soon as he said that I knew I’d like doing business with this guy. We sat in the car... he walked me through the infotainment, the features, showed me the brake assist and how intuitive the car was. A week later I was back in to take a test drive. The car was perfect. Greg was a great guide and let me try out the cornering and throttle input. We parked, put a deal together. He gave me a great trade, great rate and the only thing we couldn’t agree on was price of the vehicle (he wanted $39k while new ones were going for $36.9k) He kept in contact weighed the pros and cons and let me battle out my feelings of why I don’t want to do the deal. I will stay in touch and hopefully find a black one. I liked the dealer but the sales guy Greg really made the experience worthwhile! More
