I explained when scheduling online and in person that I only wanted the required service for 30,000 miles so I would not jeopardize my warranty. The service representative indicated multiple services as required at 30,000, much more than I expected. He said if you go to any Hyundai dealership they will also tell you this is required at 30,000. I discovered part way through the appointment that almost all of it was NOT part of the Hyundai maintenance schedule. I accept some blame for not knowing the service schedule in advance, but when i showed him the schedule from the Hyundai USA page, he asked where that was from and claimed to not understand how the services were not on that list. He framed it as a misunderstanding, and knocked $100-$200 off the price. The head of service was being berated by another customer until they closed, so I had to follow up by email. I sent multiple emails but could not get a response from the head of the service department (nor the owner). For the 30,000 mile service appointment, they drained & replaced brake, transmission, and cooling system fluids. Cabin filter replacement and wheel alignment were actually indicated at 30k. I had recently had an oil change, so that was not included. The charge was over $1,400, more than even they initially indicated. The service agent dropped the price to $1200. Nonetheless, I looked up Kelley Blue Book prices for each service item and for every one, the price exceeds even the highest number in their range for Seattle/Shoreline area. The appointment was no more than 2 hours, and the labor cost alone was $850. While I should have done my research in advance, it is inexcusable to deceive customers, misrepresent services as required, and then not respond to a simple request to provide explanation of why the services were performed and the cost. I have since found out that this dealership is not BBB-accredited (most in the area are accredited), and has very low scores on Yelp. If you need to go here, please go in highly educated about what is required and expecting misleading/deceptive practices, coupled with non-response. Good luck. More

When the engine literally exploded because of update related issue they refused to take responsibility for it despite the fact that it was serviced by them twice the same year the recall was issued. I was shocked and disappointed by their unwillingness to take responsibility for their oversight. They didn't dispute that they had seen the car or that they neglected to do the update. They just weren't willing to take responsibility for replacing the engine, which would have been covered under warrantee had the recall been done. That car was the most important asset I had and was bought for me by my dad who passed two years. It felt personal and was very painful when they stonewalling me at every step and then after I was finally able to establish that they were at fault, they literally said they could do it, probably should do it, but weren't going to fix my car or do anything to make me whole. Joseph in service took the time to walk me through a minor issue I was having with my Tuscon. He was patient and polite, solved my problem over the phone, and also took the time to explain what I was de minor issue I was having with my Tuscon. He was patient and polite, solved my problem over the phone, and also took the time to explain what I was dealing with so I could handle it in the future. ( Getting the darn cover off the door handle so I could access my manual lock and unlock my car). I will certainly recommend this dealership to anyone in the future, if this is the type of proffesional people they employ. More
