Insulting high pressure extended warrantee pitch After a great experience with our salesman we had to endure an insulting, high pressure sales pitch from a finance manager trying to sell and extended After a great experience with our salesman we had to endure an insulting, high pressure sales pitch from a finance manager trying to sell and extended warrantee and seat fabric protection. Before the pitch, I had great confidence in Toyota quality and reliability. The finance manger left me feeling that he thought my Corolla iM was a poor buy, full of future repair problems. The seats were not made from stain resistant fabric. The car was full of fragile, complicated electric components that were expensive to repair. The dealer would charge $600 to replace and program a lost key. The warrantee sales pitch insulted our intelligence. He said "I can't see why you wouldn't take this deal", but wouldn't listen to my explanation. Then we had to sign something saying we rejected the extended warrantee, like they needed to prove that they had tried their best to protect these stupid people. If I wasn't familiar with such high pressure sales tactics, and assumed that he was exaggerating, I would have backed out of the deal. But I won't ever go through that again to buy a car. More
