Bought a vehicle that lasted ONE YEAR & a few months & the engine completey failed, took it into the dealership to see what could be done & if the warranty would cover repairs. What should have been a few weeks worth of work to get the warranty inspector out took FOUR MONTHS. I was told they needed to tear the engine down for the inspector to look at so they could "decide" if they were going to do anything about it, mind you Serpentini offered NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT in this time that they sold me a TOTAL LEMON vehicle & proceeded to let the car sit there for weeks at a time with no update while I thought they were working on it. Meanwhile it was just sitting there because they didn't want to do any work on it. The service rep rarely ever answered his line and would take weeks to respond to voice messages & no one else in the service department even knew what was going on with the vehicle. All they needed to do was tear down the engine & get a warranty rep out, this took months. The few times I'd get the service rep on the phone he'd tell me they still need to do the tear down & I'd be shocked because I thought they were working on it but actually doing NOTHING, when he would actually commit to them working on it it would get done within a few days & from what I can gather I think they worked on the car maybe 4 or 5 days. In FOUR MONTHS. otherwise it was sitting and no one was updating me and eventually when they did get an inspector out after a second time they denied my claim because they said I didn't get enough oil changes. WHAT. We changed the oil twice at home in 6 months and I went to valvoline every 3 or 4 months after that and gave them receipts. I was told a timing chain broke, their were bits of metal in the engine, sludge was accumulating from different fluids mixing from a leak somewhere choking out the engine which a different mechanic told me was a defect he'd seen before with this model so clearly their were ALOT of problems with the engine when they sold it to me but ok, oil changes yeah. After all this, again 4 MONTHS later, also running up a tab on the tear downs, charging ME to have the inspector come out?! Taking zero responsibility for the cars condition or how they left me without a vehicle I'd been making payments on for months their solution was, we could put a salvage engine in it for 10,000 dollars. We're talking on top of what I paid for the vehicle, on top of the horrendous service charges which when combined with what I'd already paid for the car would well total OVER THE PRICE OF A NEW CAR THAT ACTUALLY FUNCTIONS. And this would be to fix a car I had for about 14 months TOTAL. Absolute clowns. They got their money, took ZERO responsibility, showed how little they cared by letting it sit instead of trying to remedy the situation, barely updated me the entire process, never offered any other options, help, anything while I was left without the vehicle I was paying them for. I'd get a lawyer but it's not worth the hassle. Ultimately decided it was more worth it to pay off the remainder of the car just to JUNK IT instead of giving them more money to try and fix it, which god forbid if they did & it broke again, they wouldn't do anything. Hands down the WORST experience I've ever had with a business. ZERO INTEGRITY. They should be shut down honestly. I would BUY A CAR LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE it is not worth the risk with these people. What a complete and utter xxxx show, they should be embarrassed but you'd have to care on any level to feel humiliation. SCAMMERS. SWINDLERS, BUYER AVOID, BEWARE. More
I was advised of some discounts and incentives for new & used cars. Once there, I was lied to. Was trying to sell me a car for more than what was advertised. I am neither dumb or desperate. I will be going used cars. Once there, I was lied to. Was trying to sell me a car for more than what was advertised. I am neither dumb or desperate. I will be going elsewhere and would not recommend buying a car from here. Very shady sales practices. More
I am writing to complain about Serpentini Chevrolet in Willoughby, Ohio. On 12/20/24 I attempted to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. Although I found a car readily, they made me wait well over 4 Willoughby, Ohio. On 12/20/24 I attempted to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. Although I found a car readily, they made me wait well over 4 hours before I decided to leave, the first night. They also told me they would give me $1900 for my leased truck for the trade-in, but they were actually adding that cost to my loan so that I was still paying the truck off. It wasn't a trade-in at all! They misrepresented their position and intentions, attempting to lie and take advantage of me. And WHY would any sale take so much time?? The newly purchased vehicle came with a two-year, 100,000 mile warranty. Before 3 months into owning it I have had several mechanical issues with the vehicle which they refuse to cover, front brakes, struts and a leaking oil pan. In addition, they want to charge me over $3000 in repairs. I have tried to call to speak to the management but was not able to get hold of anyone, and was directed to leave a message. I have left several messages but have never received a call back. I have been calling the dealership for 3 months, from when the problems started, and they told me my salesman Kyle Talarico would call me back, but no one has EVER called me back. I do not think that a newly-purchased vehicle that was "certified" should need brakes after only 7 K miles of mostly freeway driving. This is the second car I have purchased from them within 6 months, but they are doing nothing for me -- not even the courtesy of returning my calls. I feel that they are using sleazy sales practices and that they are dishonest and took advantage of me. I'm extremely disappointed in my entire experience with this dealership More

Moved to another vehicle, and they then added the price to fix a problem with this one to my quoted price! Dishonest Con-artists! Ended up walking out! Avoid this dealership!!! More

I scheduled an appointment to drive from Massillon to Willoughby Hills on Saturday morning to look at a used Lincoln MKC, this is over an hour drive. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a salesman who wa Willoughby Hills on Saturday morning to look at a used Lincoln MKC, this is over an hour drive. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a salesman who was able to find us and our appointment in their system. He asked which vehicle we were interested in which was odd considering I had made the appointment for a specific vehicle. After telling him it was the white MKC he said he would go get the vehicle for us. Again, weird because you would have thought they would have had the vehicle cleaned and gassed up for us to look at it. After waiting for about 5 minutes our salesman came back and asked if we were picky about color and tried to move us to a year older version of the same car. When we asked why he stated that the car we came to look at needed a new engine. So in short they scheduled an appointment with us and had us drive over an hour each way for a vehicle that they knew wasn't available and needed a new engine. What a shameful way to do business!! The dealership accommodated a late evening visit to check out a car and tried to pull a few different options for us to look at. However, once we narrowed down our search for a vehicle, we went to fill out p out a car and tried to pull a few different options for us to look at. However, once we narrowed down our search for a vehicle, we went to fill out prequalification forms online to get a QUOTE for our monthly payment, etc. Then suddenly a hard credit check was pulled without our permission. Prequalification =/= signing a form to give permission for a hard credit check. Due to this interaction, we will likely not purchase from them. The finance team was apologetic and admitted to the mistake, but we continued to get messages from the salesman. If purchasing, I would be incredibly clear about every step in the process and make sure there is no misunderstanding. Friendly, helpful staff but a disappointing end for us with no vehicle at the end of it all. More
The car has visible damage and they tried to tell us it was just cosmetic when the quarter panel was pushed against the door and the bumper was not hooked up all the way. We drove 5 hours to see it and the was just cosmetic when the quarter panel was pushed against the door and the bumper was not hooked up all the way. We drove 5 hours to see it and they tried to brush it off because the carfax was clean…aka the damage was not reported to insurance. More
