So there was great trepidation when I brought my wife's 2011 Malibu in for an allignment, oil change, and safety inspection. I opened myself up for a real gouging when I told the service rep to take care of anything that wasn't as new, but I want my wife to be safe on her daily commute. I had a realistic expectation ( I thought ) of what a fair price would be, and was fully prepared for it. What I was not prepared for was the completed price to be less than half of that! There was no taking advantage of my "just fix it" statement, and driving the car since has been a real relief! If anyone were to ask, or if anyone were to make a blanket statement about taking a car to a dealer for service, I will be a very vocal advocate in the name of Pat O'Brien! Thank you. More
Dealership did not redeem coupon/discount based on technicality (even after I asked if there were any prior to arriving, and was told no-they did not accept electronic coupon, and this was NOT communi technicality (even after I asked if there were any prior to arriving, and was told no-they did not accept electronic coupon, and this was NOT communicated). Mislead about length of time for repair by over an hour and a half outside of the upper range of repair length I was given. Spoke with John (not sure which one) and he was condescending and did not seem empathetic. I only intend to return to this dealership if service is under warranty and free. More

Pete White worked out the alternatives I needed to make the purchase. He didn't give up, but instead found the selection for me and within days after my enquiry, he called me with the info. If the competition had been half that helpful it would have been interesting, but Pete's follow through made it work so I have a Pat O'Brien on my license plate cover. With the support of manager Zupanzic (spelling?) they made sure of my satisfaction. But, without Pete - no sale. He even made other prospects feel comfortable waiting while he completed my new car introduction. Thanks to P O'B dealership for all their community involvement - makes one feel good to see them cooperating with others. I think the final financing steps need more customer friendliness because there are so many price options that just add... and add... and add up so customers are concerned and confused and feel cornered. The F & I people are in a tough position to add profitability to the purchase, but it could be a turn off because we see this as the hard sell that dealers have worked for over the years to get rid of. I think softening up prospects on what they may have to review (F & I)before the purchase is consumated may be a future training technique that will leave people as happy as leaving a well maintained rest-room. I had a horrible experience at Lake Shore Chevrolet 10 years ago. The professionalism I was shown during this purchase renewed my faith in Chevrolet!
