Made an appointment to look at a mazda. Left work early. My husband, who works third shift, got about 5 hours of sleep to drive with me to test drive. I kept getting asked about financing and all we wanted to do was test drive the car. I told them whether we needed financing would be determined by the out the door total price. Again asked- for the 3rd time- what type of monthly payments we could afford. I made the mistake of saying I could afford any monthly payment but was not interested in spending our money that way. When Darius went to get the car- it suddenly wasn't there. I asked where it was and no one knew... but immediately wanted to know if he could show us something else. I told them it was incredibly poor customer service to have us drive 2 hours round trip and then not have the car. The excuse I was actually given by the other guy was- "we have 4 lots and 25 salesmen". Perhaps they should consider closing a couple of them if they cannot even keep track of vehicles. When the bait and switch tactic was clearly not going to work- he said- how about if we drive it to you tomorrow? No thanks. I would rather pay $1000 more somewhere else. Its the principle of the matter. No one can ever just be honest. We went up a few months ago to look at a Nissan Rogue. That day I was told-"I can't let you look at that one. We just got it in and the service department said x,y, and z is wrong with it" I'm so dumb that I didn't realize that was a tactic they use or I wouldn't have gone up there today. So about 5.5-6 hours of my time wasted for nothing between these two trips. Never again. I only wish I would have seen these reviews prior. Frustrated and disappointed. More
Be careful that your negotiated price is carried thru on your purchase agreement! Mine wasn't and it cost me $1000. I was too trusting Jim Patterson your purchase agreement! Mine wasn't and it cost me $1000. I was too trusting Jim Patterson More
Serra honda champaign has exceptional staff that provided me the best service and experience anyone could ask for when purchasing a vehicle. The moment I walked in the Sales Manager Jess welcomed me and made me the best service and experience anyone could ask for when purchasing a vehicle. The moment I walked in the Sales Manager Jess welcomed me and made me feel at ease. I was paired with a Sales Agent named Yemi and he was a blessing in disguise. I worked with both through my transaction of purchasing my new (used) vehicle and trading my old one in and they were beyond knowledgeable and answered every question I had. When it came to the financial part Derek was exceptional and beyond met my expectations just like Jess and Yemi. Everyone was up front and honest with me and made me comfortable. Not one time did I feel like I was trying to be hassled, felt stressed, or had a bad gut feeling that I wasn’t making the right choice. I drove 3 hours to a dealership I had only stumbled upon and it was worth every minute. They have reached out several times to check on me and I have also reached out to them and they are always willing to help and go the extra mile. If you’re in need of a new or used vehicle I highly recommend making the drive wherever you are to see them. More
Was here just a few minutes shy of two hours for nothing more than an oil change, even with having an appointment. They also did not complete the free tire rotation that I was told over the phone I would re more than an oil change, even with having an appointment. They also did not complete the free tire rotation that I was told over the phone I would receive at the time of service. I was there so long I didn't even want to ask for it. Sucked all of the time out of my whole morning, and didn't even have all of the services done that I was expecting to be done. If I would have known it was going to be like this I would have taken it elsewhere, which I'll most likely be doing from here on. More
I wish I would have read the reviews for Serra Honda before reaching out to them. During a negotiation for a new car I was accused of wasting their time. And their OTD price was never truly OTD- always before reaching out to them. During a negotiation for a new car I was accused of wasting their time. And their OTD price was never truly OTD- always a few add-ons at the end. All email correspondence was filled with typos and rambling sentences. An EXTREMELY unprofessional dealership. Needless to say I did not buy from them. Nor will I ever. More
8 days ago my husband took our Odyssey in to have a oil change and break cleaning (as suggested). He was told the time needed was 40 min to one hour. Twenty some min later he got a call said his car was re change and break cleaning (as suggested). He was told the time needed was 40 min to one hour. Twenty some min later he got a call said his car was ready for picking up. My husband couldn't believe they did all these in such short time. It was about the time for them to close for the day, so my husband paid the bill with his credit card and left. At home he found the report from the technician didn't mention break cleaning. He called back. The higher management checked their video recording and told my husband they are going to refund part of the payment. We really appreciated the honesty. Then Honda Service Dept called my husband requesting his credit card info to refund the money (he did get refund later). They asked not only all the 16 card number but include exp date and security code! Is this the common practice for Honda Dealership? I have returned numerous goods in store and on line, never need to give all the info of my credit card! Two days later we received a recall letter from Honda. This time I called the service department made today's 7:30am appointment. I drove in and was told no other car was before me, I was the first appointment. "It will need one hour", the service advisor said. "The letter says the process is about 15 min" I said. " Well, maybe half an hour". He then directed me to the door of waiting area. I was the only one there then. I waited for one hour, no one came for me. I waited for another half hour, still no one came for me. I went to the counter. I immediately saw my car key was on a report pad. Then somebody said: " Your car is outside". I left. Soon after I started driving away my husband called me said he had just got a call said the car was ready! Apparently I was not counted as a person! I made the appointment, I brought the car in, I was directed to the waiting area. NO BODY SERVED ME! They only talk to my husband! Why ? Because I am an old Asian women (60s too old?)? What a frustrated experience! More
I bought a 2017 Nissan rogue from Honda about 3 years ago and ever since then I've had constant issues with the blower motor. They've looked at it multiple times with no success on fixing it. I bought a car and ever since then I've had constant issues with the blower motor. They've looked at it multiple times with no success on fixing it. I bought a car from them because I believed since it's Honda certified it would be a good car for my family. Since they are unable and unwilling to work with me on fixing this it puts my family at risk due to it doesn't properly keep the cab of the car at a safe temperature. I regret the day I decided to buy a car from Honda I'm quite disgusted on their ability on fixing cars that they sell. Thank you Chris and Honda for a horrible experience. More
Service advisors here need to cross train with the tech. Curt didn't have a clue to how you program a key for a car. Is this not a 101 class? His excuse to the programing fee... "I don't set the prices" b Curt didn't have a clue to how you program a key for a car. Is this not a 101 class? His excuse to the programing fee... "I don't set the prices" but apparently he was able to drop $25 off of the fee that never existed before. I don't understand why they tried to take advantage of my wife that's the part that makes me a never again customer....watch out for the snakes! More

They then turned around and sold it for $4,000. We had agreed to buy the used car at their set price. There was no reason for them to screw us over on the trade in. A good example of them being “penny wise and pound foolish. “. We will never deal with this dealer again More
