I had the worst experience at Sewell Lexus of Dallas service center. It started on 4/23/2026 when I dropped off my Lexus TX for its 10k mile service. I inquired about having a wheel repaired which they service center. It started on 4/23/2026 when I dropped off my Lexus TX for its 10k mile service. I inquired about having a wheel repaired which they confirmed I had the Toyota/Lexus wheel and tire insurance with cosmetic repairs. However, I was told that because I have F Sport wheels that they could not be repaired and nothing could be done. Unsure why they will sell wheel and tire package on a vehicle that has wheels that are not applicable. I’ve attempted to reach out to Sewell Lexus of Dallas financial department and have been guaranteed a call back, but still nothing. The 10k service was completed on 4/24/2026 and picked up my TX around noon. After arriving back to my office I noticed smoke coming out of the hood. I immediately opened the hood and found oil covering the engine bay and the oil cap sitting near the hood latch and had never been put back on after the oil change. Sewell did arrange for a tow truck to come pick up the vehicle and leave a loaner car. I had not heard from Sewell for a few days so I had to call the afternoon of 4/27/2026 to get an update. I was told that everything was cleaned and refilled, but in no way felt comfortable that the engine was not damaged or properly serviced by Sewell. We will be taking our business elsewhere and encourage others to do their research before trusting Sewell with your vehicle. More
Bought a car from them as an out of state buyer. Lots of hidden damages not disclosed. Bad drill holes on doors not disclosed, Vehicle came to me with missing parts. Bad overall experience. Tons of scratches on vehicle that were not disclosed AT ALL NOT happy with the condition FORCED to lose thousands of dollars to try to sell it off to someone else. When they offered a buy it back they offered me THOUSANDS of dollars less than what I paid them.. I suggest if you want to buy a car from them to check it out in person because the sales person won’t disclose any damages so they don’t lose the sale. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! AND SAVE YOUR HEADACHE Edit. There’s no need to reach out anymore. Your vehicle was misrepresented to me by your sales associate Jimmy Tseng I ended up losing over $10,000 on this vehicle due to his misrepresentation made by him and your dealership I don’t like mentioning names but losing $10,000 due to someone’s negligence and misrepresentation is really hard for me to eat. Just because he wasn’t honest and he didn’t want to lose the sale But I want to make sure everyone sees this so whatever happened to me, does not happen to anyone else More

My wife wanted a specific exterior and interior color combination that was not being regularly produced by Lexus for this specific model (RX450h+ Luxury). She put in the extra effort to advocate on our behalf and get a special request in to Lexus, where she successfully secured this unicorn for us. We are absolutely thrilled. It's the most beautifully designed and engineered car we've ever seen, and we're thrilled with it. Katie's communication was excellent throughout the whole process. Everything was smooth and stress-free, in advance and on the day of delivery. She was so sweet that she sent a very thoughtful and awesome gift package so my wife had something to open at Christmas since the car did not arrive until January. Katie is the absolute best. She made us feel like family, as did the sales finance manager Brian Arnold, who took time to have a sincere personal conversation with us and answer any questions we had. Complete honesty and transparency at every point in the purchase process. Top shelf experience. We bought our first Lexus from Sewell Lexus of Dallas 20 years ago, and will continue to be loyal customers. It is because of their clear commitment to providing their guests with consistently great experiences with sales consultants, managers, and service advisors. Called to find a TX and delighted they had one! Gary W. was willing to even stay late after hours for our arrival since we were coming from out of town! He even brought a forgotten garage door opener to us 45 minutes away the next day! Best car buying experience ever! I even noticed a paperwork typo later and Karrie fixed it with in a few hours. Gary never made us feel pressured to rush even though we were keeping them late in a Saturday! That was impressive and not like any other car buying experience I have ever had! Would work with him again for sure because the level of service was impressive! More
We took our Lexus, which we purchased new from them, in for a standard oil change. When we picked our car up there was an additional $80.00 charge for a ‘courtesy’ inspection. I plan to buy a small SUV-AWD vehicle in the next 4-6 weeks. I visited Sewell pre-owned business today. His first reaction was to tell me to come back another day when I was closer to making a decision about buying. There was no value placed on my time. I was essentially dismissed since I was not planning to buy on the spot. After seeing my disappointment, he agreed and said he would get the manager. Twenty minutes later, no manager. I was told the manager didn't want to bother me since I was waiting by the car. Everyone knows that Lexus is a good brand but it seems sales people are entitled to be dismissive and be cavalier about losing a buyer. I won't buy a Lexus this go around. There are other very nice and reliable vehicles to buy in this car class. More
I have been very disappointed with the ethics of this dealership. I was introduced to the book Customer for Life by Carl Sewell by one of their sales agents, which I ordered and read. In the book, Mrs. Sewell stated that they would never sell a vehicle over MSRP. However, after having a GX550 on order for over a year with no delivery, I’ve learned otherwise. I’ve been told repeatedly that I am still on the list and that my vehicle has not yet arrived—but at the same time, they have "used " ones with only about 1,000 miles available for purchase at $10,000–$15,000 over MSRP. This practice feels like nothing more than a money-making racket by the Sewells. I have purchased one vehicle from Sewell in the past, and that was a good experience, but it’s sad to see that greed now seems more important than integrity. AWC More
