They dealt with me professionally and promptly. The salesman even took his own golf clubs out of his car to show me how a set of golf clubs would fit in the trunk. Enjoyable experience! I was speechless Mr. David Kielson was Phenomenal and honest !!!! I see why he is Lexus top sales associate. Mr. Kielson sent a Lyft to picked up, once I arrived at the dealership I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. Mr. Kielson assistance Kevin Moreno was awesome he and Mr.Kielson could answer all my questions about the car inform on details of the car. Prior to leaving the dealership Mr. Moreno walked me through all the bells and whistles of the car and even set everything up so I didn't have to spend time figuring out how things worked on the car. The Business Manager Laura Munzo was an angel worked diligently to get me to the number I was comfortable with, and went beyond my expectation. It honestly felt like family !!! I did not think I could afford an Lexus, but Ms. Munoz made it possible. The experience with Mr. Kielson, Mr. Moreno, and Ms. Munzo have made me a lifetime customer of Sewell Lexus of Dallas !!!!! Normally Lexus is amazing to work with and my favorite car to drive. However, I purchased a car from this dealership in December, 2021 and traded in the car I currently had. It is now May, 2022 and Carl J car to drive. However, I purchased a car from this dealership in December, 2021 and traded in the car I currently had. It is now May, 2022 and Carl Jacob from finance has been calling me, harassing me and bullying me to sign an updated milage form. I have told him very clearly that I am not comfortable nor willing to sign a document updating the mileage for a car that I have not owned for six months. I have no idea what has happened with that car in the months since I traded it in and therefore not willing to sign anything. He continues to tell me I have to because the state of Texas needs it and the wrong milage is an oversight from when I originally traded it. I know when I signed all of my documents the milage was correct. Again, I have no knowledge what has happened with that car or where it has been since they took ownership of my new car. That feels very fraudulent to me. Had they called me a week after saying there was an issue, then maybe, but not six months later. After I was very clear with him that I was not willing to sign anything now as it feels fraudulent and illegal he had other people from the dealership call me to harass me, including the sales person, Cynthia. He seems to not care that I have told him very clearly no nor that I told him that feels very illegal. Instead, he continues to find ways to harass and bully me. More
Sewell Lexus of Dallas is probably the most underwhelming "big name" dealership I've ever dealt with. The whole experience from the moment I've interacted with their sales rep, Jeff, to when I stepped out th "big name" dealership I've ever dealt with. The whole experience from the moment I've interacted with their sales rep, Jeff, to when I stepped out the building was just awkward and subpar. I was specifically there to check out a pre-owned vehicle. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is that they did have the vehicle in immaculate shape. I came in from OK so I guess they had time to clean & detail it. The car was spotless & I did appreciate the care that they took. Unfortunately that's the only bright spot of the whole experience. Jeff didn't seem too knowledgeable about the specific vehicle or things I was looking for. I get it - he has to deal with a whole fleet where I'm just focused on one vehicle so I can do a bit more research. But on the other hand, we had an appt so at least be able to tell me more about where to find certain safety features? After the test drive, he asked what I thought of the vehicle. Told him I liked it and that I'm interested in it. Then he just sort of stares blankly at me. So...are you gonna ask if I'd like to go inside to discuss? I had to initiate and ask him, awkwardly, if we could sit down and talk numbers. I've never had to do this at a dealership before. I would've appreciated him taking the reins and being more inviting. I'd like to think of myself as someone who gathers enough info before going into any sort of situation that may involve negotiation. I researched comparable vehicles in a 25 mile radius, Carfax details, KBB values, the whole nine yards. This next part is probably what made the whole experience just go off the cliff. I had noticed reading through the Carfax the night before that the vehicle was a "Corporate Fleet Vehicle". I asked Jeff "Was this a Corporate car because I do notice that it has high mileage for it's age (only 3 years old with 100k miles)?" I don't know if he wasn't aware, again didn't do his due diligence, or if he was trying to twist the truth but he told me, "No this was a personally owned vehicle". He then proceeded to hand me the Carfax where it clearly said "Cooporate Fleet Vehicle". Again, I don't know if this was intentional or not but I'm gonna have to ding them for it. I then asked him how they came to the number that they have listed & if he could show me comps. All he said was "It's just how the market is." Again, would've liked more effort to show me. I then told him what I found in a 25 mile radius shows that the same exact vehicle down to the year, make, model, trim, power train, color were all going for KBB values. I did my research the entire week & found at least 8 other similar vehicles all within 25 miles. Yet Jeff couldn't give me any other reason why theirs was priced for $5k over KBB. He said it was the market and I just explained what it was, they are going for KBB price OR below it for that vehicle. So when every other dealership in the area with that same exact vehicle is going for KBB you're going to sell yours for $5k over and yours has been in an accident? I would've liked to see more effort to provide numbers. I then gave him my bottom dollar number (was just a starting point & I would've expected to go up had there even been an attempt to negotiate, mind you it was the fair KBB pricing) and he didn't budge from where they were. I'm not dinging them for this though. I get that they are a dealership & they can set their prices however they want. I guess there's a market for that & maybe somebody who's less informed might jump on it. The worst part of this whole thing was that he offered absolutely so follow-up. There was more staring & then an awkward "Thank You" from our part and then he simply got up and walked us to the door. No "Is there anything else I can do for you" or even an offer to look at other potential options for us. This story has a happy ending though! I was able to go to another dealership with the same exact vehicle for less milage and got a better deal for it. More
I have been a loyal customer to Sewell Lexus in Dallas for 6 years. I was seeking To purchase my second Lexus when I saw a L Certified ES300. The website has it listed as Certified on the list and in the for 6 years. I was seeking To purchase my second Lexus when I saw a L Certified ES300. The website has it listed as Certified on the list and in the discription. When I went to test drive it I was told it is unable to be certified. Upon my return home I looked at the site again and saw it is listed as certified. I called the pre owned manager to ask if the car can be discounted to reflect the lack of certification. He said No. I reminded him of what was on the site he advised that he did not see it. I offered to send him the screen shots. He said “ what do you want me to do about it? Dismissively. After I explained the value of being L Certified he then said they spent 15k repairing the car frame. ( this would lead me to believe it’s been in an accident abs was not reporter to Carfax). He came back offering $500 off the car saying other cars are much higher in price. I reminded him that those cars have 15k less miles and more luxury items on them. Needless to say it was a difficult experience and goes against the principles of Carl Sewell. I felt like I was at a lemon Lott with shady used car salesmen. It’s very disheartening to end a relationship I valued with Sewell but I deserved better than the way I was spoken to today. I also thought it was in poor taste not to honor the certification or value of L Cert as promised on the website. I was spoken to like I was an uneducated buyer. This interaction lacked integrity, customer service, and will cause a car that has been there 64 days to remain on the lot. I guess i will now be a park place customer. More
The dealership denied the vehicle price posted on cars.com. They posted $61,125 for a Lexus gx 460 luxury. When I contacted them, they said their price for the vehicle is between $69-71k.
