I cannot express how many dealerships we had visited prior to coming to Shaver.Nor can I express the level of disappointment as well as stress we accumilated from these dealerships. We had even almost finalized a sale from another dealership but it was because of Brenton and Ira that we declined the other dealership and chose to do business with Shaver. From the moment we walked into the building to the moment of leaving the building the entire experience was phenominal. Brenton knew exactly what we were looking for and worked with us for hours on negotiating prices, the details of the car (which he was highly informative) and ultimately making sure that we would not leave his lot without being completely satisfied. With the help of Ira (financing manager) and Brenton we left the lot purchasing a brand new 2012 Dodge Avenger with 30 miles on it. These men are phenominal and I highly recommened doing business with them. We can all relate to how stressful,taxing, demanding or exasperating buying a car can be. These men and this dealership did quite the opposite and made my car buying experience absolutely un-regretable. In addition to Brenton's hard work the dealership also gave me 7 gallons of free gas as included in the contract. I absolutely LOVE my new car and it is all due to Brenton Laughlin and Ira. I of course had to make sure that they enumerated all the fees by text message, initially they were trying to add in some $500 of extra fees in addition to tax and license. But it worked out, and there was no BS on the price after we agreed and I got there. The finance guy did try to sell the warrantees of course (which I declined) but he was not too pushy about it, and I was very pleased that he ended up giving me a better rate through Chrysler than my credit union was offering. My complaints are only minor -- it seemed to take a very long time to get my jeep, and I didn't have an owners manual or anything to look at. It took so long that Brenton was already working past his normal shift and thus didn't have much time with me once the Jeep was finally available. Not a big deal as I can figure most of it out myself. I will say that it was beautifully detailed. I also had good conversations with the parts and service people. Another minor complaint is that per the dealer policy, they only give you 7 gallons of gas! Pretty cheap in my opinion. Also, if I was this dealer, I would keep an owners manual for each of their vehicles in the dealership for people to look through when you're buying the car. (the Jeeps don't come with a printed one nowadays, but Jeep sends you one if you call them after you buy it). More

Tim at Shaver offered us the best price among several dealers for the car we wanted. When we got to the dealership, Tim was very pleasant, but told us our car was not ready. We had to wait almost 3 hours before seeing the car. Prepping a car should not take more than 20 minutes. He offered to sell us nitrogen filled tires, which we refused. When we went to do the paperwork, we were surprised that $500 in "Nitrofill" and antitheft charges were on the bill, which we had already turned down. The bill was corrected. When we asked Tim about it afterward, he said it was dealer policy. If that is true, he should have warned us! The Nitrofill dealer information website (nitrofillnow.com) represents Nitrofill as a way to trick customers into returning to your dealership more often for service. We were in the dealership for almost 4 hours. It should not have taken this long considering we had agreed to a prearranged price and given them an hour notice before we arrived. In hindsight, they were probably wasting time adding the nitrofill package and antitheft etchings onto the car. There were multiple minor annoyances. First, they did not fill up the gas tank - only giving us 7 gallons. The car had noticeable dirt and water spots. When we got home, we realized they had drilled and installed the front licence plate crooked. Tim Ott, our salesman, gets 4/5. He gets one point off for not warning us about the nitrofill and antitheft charges. The dealership gets 3/5 for doing shoddy prep work and making us wait 3 hours to see the car, plus the dishonest add-on charges. Shaver is apparently not above some of the stereotypical dishonest car dealer tactics. Overall, I have to recommend them for offering the best price and friendly staff, but you must be vigilant when reviewing the bill for worthless extras. More

Test drove the car and I fell in love with it. In less than an hour I was signing paperwork and got the car that I wanted. I have been telling my friends about my experience and it was great. Also I decided to deal with Tim Ott internet sales manager because of all the positive reviews he received on this site. He was great, information overload (a plus). Tim explained everything I needed to know about the truck and helped me with the voice command and all other electronic devices before I left the lot with my new truck. Ira was in charge of the paper work in the finance department, he is a cool guy. I appreciate the fact that they kept everything straight forward. I do recommend that customers do their there research because it will save both parties a lot of time. I would definitely recommend this dealership to a friend or stranger. Most of us get a headache when it comes to dealing with a big purchase and especially with a car dealership but this was done right so a big thanks to Tim Ott and Ira Dauer. More

I was able to get EP pricing so the pricing was not hard. I had interacted with Chris over e mail so when I went in I had done my research on what I wanted. When I inquired it was $179 for nitrogen for the tires and $292 for a theft protection system. I did not want either. We knocked off the very expensive nitrogen but I ended up paying for the theft protection system. I thought it was added to the vehicle. At the end of the day I did not need to purchase that either but I did not read the small print. Actually it was large print. It said "purchase of the syatem is entirelly voluntary and is not required in order to purchase the vehicle". Chris or the woman in finance could have been much more up front about this. Other than that I was in and out in very quickly. More

Ignacious and then the Internet Sales Manager, Chris Arndt, teamed up to really push for the deal I was financially comfortable with and then they worked with the Finance Dept to get my deal done!; 3. Matt in the Service Dept has already gone above and beyond in explaining various service I'm entitled to AND he helped me set up the voice commands in my stereo as well as the hands-feee "U-connet" system; and last but certainly not least, the Parts Dept. Mr. Stoneman in particular not only remembers me when I call, but goes the extra mile to research information on parts for my truck. In fact, everyone in the Parts Dept @ Shaver Dodge has been excellent. I would reccommend Shaver Dodge to anyone. I compared them to the local Dodge dealership in Simi Valley, who were also very nice and cooperative, but Shaver matched, no EXCEEDED, the trade-in + cash purchase price I wanted and so a deal was happily struck!
