So clearly the sales process was friendly, but once I was sold I haven't had any follow up or professional courtesy response when I called to ask questions. Not 1wk out the door & already engine failure. I c sold I haven't had any follow up or professional courtesy response when I called to ask questions. Not 1wk out the door & already engine failure. I can't get the manager to respond after a month of calling & leaving messages. The salesperson is like "it's as is" even though it's the engine, not some mechanical challenge. I'm truly disappointed and will seek legal advice how to move forward. How can a dealership sell a vehicle that fails to work or drive a week later? I'll let the courts be the judge of that. All I needed was a response to offer a resolution, and nothing. More
Big Ed was the absolute best! Every other review sums up their experience well and our experience was pretty much the same. What I do want to offer feedback on is our vehicle a Every other review sums up their experience well and our experience was pretty much the same. What I do want to offer feedback on is our vehicle and one section of our pricing breakdown. We purchased a 2016 Grand Cherokee with 126,000 miles on it. 75th anniversary model, 1 owner, clean title, no accidents, taken care of religiously, interior was spotless, mint condition. It was exactly what we wanted for the price we wanted it. We took it for a test drive in the immediate area and it drove nice. We signed all the paperwork and left. Night time rolls around. The headlights are so dim it was dangerous to drive. We had to use our hi beams as much as we could while making sure we didn't blind incoming drivers. I understand it's a used car, but I would have thought all exterior lights were function checked and the headlights at least checked for brightness. That was a bit scary driving at night until I could purchased new headlights the following day. We live in country and we need as much light as we can get. I have since upgraded to LED's and they are superior to the OEM halogens. The other issue I had was the security lock nuts and LoJack service. I'm sorry, but that felt forced on us. I don't need or want locking lug nuts. That should be an option, not a requirement. We were charged $400 for the lug nuts (Or go to an auto parts store and buy some yourself for $20) and the LoJack service was an additional $400. So, $800 for a service I didn't want. Some of us shop to save money, not accept a service we don't need or want. Regarding paperwork, I was hesitant about getting an extended warranty, but my goodness am I glad I did. We have had the car for 3 weeks and the check engine light comes on. Our Jeep throws us "Multiple Cylinder Misfires" and "Bank 1 Camshaft 1 Position Slow Response." Immediately brought it to the Jeep dealership and they found the position sensor was completely fried and the camshaft lobes and lifters were worn out. 100% recommend the warranty, especially on higher mileage vehicles. I'm not accusing Shaver of hiding anything from us, I'm simply stating the extended warranty is 100% worth it on higher mileage vehicles. One final observation with our Jeep is while driving at highway speeds and driving over bumps, the car is very bouncy. The suspension seems to be very worm out and the spring and shocks may need to be replaced. Food for thought, if you are interested in a vehicle, ask for a highway drive at higher speeds. Check all the exterior lights yourself. Ask for a Carfax if available. Ask for any maintenance they did before they posted the vehicle for sale. Consider a pre-purchase inspection as well. Overall, our experience was very good and we would recommend Shaver, especially Big Ed. More

This is perplexing - while the sales people were polite & easy to work with, as soon as I drove off the lot the service & courtesy ended there. The first week driving my new/used Jeep, the "check engine" lig easy to work with, as soon as I drove off the lot the service & courtesy ended there. The first week driving my new/used Jeep, the "check engine" light comes on. I reach out to the sales person, and they respond via text "it's as is"...really? Then I tried several times to speak with the manager, nothing - not a single response. Why do I feel like I just got hustled?? More
