Absolute worst service department in the country! I had transmission problems at 43 thousand miles, and figured that because I bought the car there, I should bring it there for warranty work. That was a hu transmission problems at 43 thousand miles, and figured that because I bought the car there, I should bring it there for warranty work. That was a huge mistake. The car sat for 2 weeks before they would even look at it. After that I asked how long it would be there, and got a response of "I don't know, it could be anywhere from 1 to 4 months". I asked for a loaner vehicle and was told that my vehicle is considered a "spare vehicle" because my wife usually drives it and I have another. Beyond that, I need some items from the car. I try to call to arrange that, and they hang up on me, every time! More
Waste of time. If you don't have a check engine light and or DTC's they can't help you. They are point and click mechanics. Let them keep my truck since I have another vehicle to drive for 9 weeks. Never did fix, tear down, nor precisely diagnose which is why my ext service agreement company would not agree to pay. The dealership would not say with absolute certainty what is wrong with my truck. You know why (because there are no engine codes). They can't do anything without a computer. I also asked them to check out my rear parking brakes. They said my brakes needed new parking brake shoes on both sides. Their quote with supplies labor, taxes, etc... $550!!!! To change out four brake shoes (two on each side). Unless your vehicle is still under a factory warranty don't bother going here. Not too mention after 9 weeks of delays and being lied to. And that was only if I called in to them. I did not get updates on what was happening unless I contacted them first. Eventually the manager I was talking to said something to me about purchasing my truck and give him until noon the next day to get back with me. Did I hear back? Nope! No communication back from him. Not even a no were not going to be able to buy your truck, nothing. Worthless! if your going to have your tires rotated or get an oil change maybe but anything major go somewhere else. More

HORRIBLE!!! TRUST ME, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! I have a vehicle I bought from their Used car side back in 2014. I have brought this vehicle there so many times. It has several recalls on it, including for vehicle I bought from their Used car side back in 2014. I have brought this vehicle there so many times. It has several recalls on it, including for door latches and airbags. Every time I call to see when I can get in to have them perform the recall they state they do not have the parts. They tried to deny me the make of tire I wanted at one point, I had to make sure I fought with them to get what I wanted. Yesterday's experience took the cake. I brought it in for an oil change and was advised of a leak found. When I took it back in for the diagnostics, I was quoted almost $1000 to fix it. And they still haven't fixed the airbags recall. I complained about the turbo leaking for four years. Now that the extended warranty is gone, they found a leak. I called my personal mechanic who is certified on my vehicle and was told dealerships are doing this a lot right now. They upsold my ticket for work, no way it should be more than $500. He also told me not to worry about it when I told him I have not seen any oil on my garage floor or smelled any burning from the engine. The Service Advisors refuse to acknowledge anyone in the bay. Shawn King refused to even look at me the entire time I was in the bay dropping my vehicle off. He would only speak to the teenager running around helping everyone. I miss Rachel!!! She was engaged and helpful, she also was excellent at doing business and kept it ethical and honest. I tried calling when I received the estimate and no one would take my calls. NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONES ANY LONGER!!!! I will NEVER do business here again, and I will make sure to let all my friends and family know not to go there either. More
I have bought several new vehicles from this dealership over the year. Today I went in to ask them how to move the back seat of my f150 they said a technician would have to look at in and it would cost me over the year. I have a sticker on my windshield that says I’m a preferred customer, I can’t imagine how they treat others The service person I spoke to was on the west side and back of the lack of service area. He was big guy about 250 pounds. Totally worthless Wish they had a rating lower than one More
TOTALLY a SCAM place to do business!!!!. We had a deal with the salesman on an F350 truck. We had to travel 3 hours and had a time set up to do paperwork, had a person reserved for us to do walk thru etc with the salesman on an F350 truck. WTH......I am a business owner too, and that is NOT the way I do business.!!!! These guys are WORTHLESS!!!!!!!!!! RUN...ive talked to someone else this happened ed to from them too. They dont really care once the car is sold!! I purchased an F150 Lariat 10 months ago from Shawnee Mission Ford and this winter noticed the rear window defroster was not working. I scheduled an appointment to have it looked at and repaired at 7:30 Friday morning. At 9:00 my service representative Joi came out to tell me they would have to get approval from Ford to have it repaired under warranty and that she was going to send it in. I asked her why it needed approval as itwas “under warranty” and she said they had to get approval so they could get reimbursed before they repaired it. I waited for another 45 minutes before I went to find her and asked about it. She said it could take “hours” to get a reply. I had to get to work so I asked her to call me when she heard back and I’d reschedule. With out dragging this out, simply said, they denied the repair and the dealership absolutely didn’t care and made NO effort to make anything right or help me out. Other than to tell me the repair cost was $950.00. It’s incredulous at how little they care or we’re willing to make any effort to make it right for their customer on a new purchase. They told me I could file an appeal and try and get approval. They weren’t going to do anything else about it. It’s not like this is a 4 year old truck, or I had abused it. I drive it part time. That’s just the service department. Buying the truck was a HUGE clusterf*** as well. Seriously, find another Ford dealership to do business with and save yourself the headaches. Shawnee Mission Ford is the epitome of everything you resent about the entire car buying experience. Its obvious they just really don’t care once it’s sold. More
