Incompetent and Slow Sheehy Hyundai in Waldorf, MD has very slow and incompetent service department. I had a 2015 Sonata Limited with the 2.0T engine that was experiencin Sheehy Hyundai in Waldorf, MD has very slow and incompetent service department. I had a 2015 Sonata Limited with the 2.0T engine that was experiencing creaking/rattling issues with the panoramic sunroof. The first time it was diagnosed, they had stated the glass needed to be replaced. They replaced the glass and it seemed to do the trick, but unfortunately, that was short lived. The creaking came back and I had been back one other time, but for some reason, they couldn't duplicate the issue. When I left the dealership that day, I heard the creaking. Also, when I took it in the first time for the creaking sunroof, I had complained the transmission was very laggy with poor throttle response. Their response according to the invoice was, "Customer informed of dual clutch trans characteristics. Advised to keep an eye out for software updates." Sorry Sheehy Hyundai Service, the 2.0T according to Hyundai's website isn't equipped with a dual clutch transmission. I know how a dual clutch works because I've had 2 previous VW's (I'm now on my 3rd) that had/have dual clutch and this is not even remotely close to how they function. Dual clutch transmissions are very quick and smooth shifting as the next gear is pre-selected prior to shift for optimum shift quality and reduced lag. Second, if you schedule an oil change, you better bring a computer, cellphone, or tablet because you're going to be waiting. My first 2 oil changes with this place was well into 2.5 hours. Third, and this one drew the last straw with this dealership and Hyundai in general. On 1/27/2016, I had got a flat tire coming home from work. I scheduled an appointment for 1/28/2016 at 9:15 a.m. I showed up approximately 15 minutes early. Anybody want to guess how long this took? 7 HOURS TO REPLACE A TIRE!!! The service writer told me the tire wasn't in stock, which really confused me because if not mistaking, all 2.0T Sonata's with the 18" wheels are equipped with Kumho Solus P235/45/R18 tires. How can you not have a stock of something you know the vehicle has? Why would you let your stock get so low to the point you run out and have to order one from a warehouse? Anyway, I didn't get the vehicle back until approximately 4:15 p.m. After this, I've traded the Sonata in for a 2016 VW GTI Autobahn with a DSG transmission. Far superior quality than the Sonata I had. It may not have all the features, but it sure runs a lot smoother and far more responsive. With the above review, especially with the complaint about the transmission and them telling me about something the vehicle wasn't even equipped with nor is it an option and absolutely clueless about its function, I'd take the vehicle somewhere else. More

THEY EXCEL AT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION! My experience at Sheehy was very eventful to say the least. While I was there Emily and the managers worked with me endlessly to find the car I wanted My experience at Sheehy was very eventful to say the least. While I was there Emily and the managers worked with me endlessly to find the car I wanted, at the price I wanted. Once we found that car which was a HYUNDAI VELOSTER (basic model) we took it for a test drive. It had almost everything I wanted but it really fit my budget which was the important thing. While on the test drive we were stopped at a light with me and my wife in the front seat and Emily my sales rep in the back. Emily was telling us about all the cool functions of the car, when all the sudden BAM!!! A car slammed into the back of us. Luckily no one was injured, and Emily handled everything she didn't even want us to get out of the car because it was cold and she was worried about our safety on the busy road. Once we got back to the dealership she told me the bad news. That Veloster was the only one they had that fit my budget. I was upset to say the least but I did not want to buy a wrecked car, I mean who would? We sat down at Emily desk and Emily went over to the managers and they talked for a while. A couple of minutes later Emily came back and told me the news I could only dream of hearing. She told me that because they did not have any more basic models at my price all they can do is give me the R-SPEC version for $5 more a month. My jaw dropped and I was stunned and so excited. These people went out of their way to keep me and my family safe and our money safe as well. I got a great deal on a 2016 Veloster R-SPEC. I would recommend anyone and everyone to buy from these people. I will be a repeat customer for a long time to come. -John & Selina More
