I bought a new truck from this dealership. With less then 10 miles on it. Recently was invovled in a accidentwith the truck. And there was repairs to the truck before i even bought it. Then they have no reco 10 miles on it. Recently was invovled in a accidentwith the truck. And there was repairs to the truck before i even bought it. Then they have no records of the ca ever being repaired. Buyers beware when buying from ron rosner they sell you repaired vehicles before you even buy them. Best part is when you ask clay the owner of ron rosner to call you he passes the buck onto his gm who is clueless too. This whole dealership is a joke up from the salesman to the owner. Good luck! I test drove a 2005 4runner Limited on a Saturday. It felt solid and drove straight. I loved the color combination. However, it smelled like someone had smoked in it for years with no ventilation. The felt solid and drove straight. I loved the color combination. However, it smelled like someone had smoked in it for years with no ventilation. The paint was a little dull. The salesman assured me that the car would be detailed, including an "ionization" that would remove the smell and a thorough waxing. Also, the seatbelts were to be cleaned; they were visibly dirtier than the rest of the car. I told him I would be back Wednesday with a check. When I came back Wednesday, the car no longer smelled of smoke. It did have a very strong "chemical" smell. The salesman told me the smell was from the cleaning process and would disipate shortly. I trusted what he said and that it had been "detailed". By the time I got home (about 90 minutes) I was sick from the chemical fumes. It was raining heavily, so I could not really see the outside of the car. But I could see that the top half of the car was not beading water. The next day, after it stopped raining, I took it by a local car detailing shop to ask about the smell. The owner of the detailing shop pointed out that the dash, seats, and carpet had been dyed. He said the only reason one would dye these parts would be because they could not be cleaned to the point of their original color. I asked him if the car had been waxed. He did a thorough inspection and showed me that the paint on the top side of the car was so faded that there wasn't enough paint to wax. After that, I took the car to CarMax for an appraisal. It was more than $3000 LESS than what I paid for it. They also pointed out areas of re-painting that I had not noticed. I called the dealership the next day (Friday) and spoke with someone that was supposed to be the sales manager. In reality, I have no idea what his position is within the company. He stated that they would not cancel the deal under any circumstances nor take the car back. After some prompting, he finally told me of the company's three day exchange policy. I told him I would be there the next day to utilize this policy. I arrived Saturday to "exchange" the vehicle I bought for one that was worth what I paid for. After four unproductive exchanges with three different employees, I met with Micky Ortiz. He IS the sales manager, but not the same person I spoke with the day before. After some discussion, he finally agreed to supply me with another vehicle. He said he would call me within the week. I never received any call from him or anyone else in the dealership. On Friday, almost a week after these discussions, I called and asked for Micky Ortiz. I was told he was with a customer and would call me back. Over two hours later I called again. I was told he was talking with someone and would call me back. The receptionist said he would be working until 9:00 PM. Again, I never received a return call. In summary, the vehicle I bought from Stafford Toyota had extreme, irrepairable wear for the mileage displayed and the price paid. There is also a discrepancy of 2000 miles between the actual odometer and the odometer disclosure statement. Also, the color listed is not the actual color of the car. The VINs do match the paperwork. I believe that something serious has happened to this car that has not been disclosed and was hidden by this dealership. After this week's dealings with them, I do not trust them at all. They are not good on their word nor their handshake. I will be following up with DMV, the BBB, Consumer Affairs, and the Auto Dealer's Association. If this is not remedied, I will have no choice but to follow up in Civil Court. By the way.... the Car Fax was clean but it only covers issues reported to DMV or voluntarily by the seller. More
