My daughter's car, which she received as a high school graduation gift (used), died on the interstate one night as she was coming home from college in December. We live in West Virginia and had been shopping here but hadn't found the car/deal we were satisfied with. Her boyfriend lives in Virginia and took her to Shelor to shop. She found exactly what she wanted and convinced me to go there. I admit I went with a bad attitude just to satisfy her because it seemed ridiculous to buy a vehicle from another state when there are so many dealerships here. I quickly changed my attitude, because the Shelor experience was exceptional. We were immediately greeted and asked to wait for the next available salesman. In less than five minutes, Alden Williams approached us and asked for an idea of what type of vehicle and price range we were considering. He immediately showed us several vehicles on the computer and we narrowed it down to three to test drive, eventually choosing the one she had looked at on the lot days earlier. The whole process was so organized, efficient and pleasant. Alden ran his legs off between us and the manager to negotiate the best deal and best financing possible. Knowing we had a three hour drive back home, he rushed to get us from step to step and to have the car cleaned & ready to go. I was so amazed that Shelor was able to provide a hard West Virginia license immediately. Our dealerships in West Virginia can't even do that. I am already singing the praises of Shelor with my friends and coworkers. I've bought many cars in my 51 years, but have never had such a pleasant car buying experience. We were not very happy with the sales man. When we first arrived he acted as if he had better things to do than to help us get a car. He said "if it has money on it". I felt he was trying to say we didn't have money. He was very friendly after it was over, I assume because he knew he had a sale. Also, we saw the car in the evening, turns out there was a crack in the winshield that wasn't mentioned and we couldn't see in the dark. More

We gave Ben a pretty hard time looking at vehicles. Our credit is not good, but we were willing to place a pretty large down payment on the vehicle, it took a while to get on the same page as to what we we credit is not good, but we were willing to place a pretty large down payment on the vehicle, it took a while to get on the same page as to what we were looking for but once we did, we got a vehicle that met our requirements, and we love it!
