All about the money, no heart I recently found a used Mitsubish Outlander GT available. I called and asked to see it and made an appointment. I kept them informed as to my arriva I recently found a used Mitsubish Outlander GT available. I called and asked to see it and made an appointment. I kept them informed as to my arrival an hour before closing. I waited around 30 minutes before seeing the vehicle, it was dirty inside and out. I had asked to make sure the outside was in good condition. It was badly scratched, paint faded along the left front fender. Since I was in a time crunch I did buy it, and regretted my unusually impulsive move. On the ride home, the MPG went from 5 and this GT struggled to handle a small hill,, (something wrong with engine) to getting 127mpg.. (Well that can't be right either) I returned it the next day. I was told they had one with few options but in the cream interior that I like so I drove the 50 miles again. When I got there, I waited for 40 minutes for a salesman. He showed me the one they had described, but it was in black interior that I hate. It's like driving in a dark cave. I then asked Andrew if we could look to see what other vehicle might work, he looked at one, said he would be right back, and 20 minutes later, (not having told me he was leaving the building) he came back with a Hyundai Santa Fe base model, also dirty. I asked for him to look for others, and he said he did, which is not true he never went back into his office. I spent a long time trying to figure out what to do since I was stuck with Shelor under their 48 hour EXCHANGE ONLY policy and I have 3 kids in wheelchairs and was leaving the next morning for very important doctors appointments at a conference that only happens every 2 years. So under great duress I decided on the more base model black interior since I had no other recourse and they showed no interest in looking in their new or used inventory for me. Andrew lied to me saying they don't come in any other color interior. I asked him point blank if he looked on computer and he said yes, then later said he apologized, he had no idea they came in different colors. He said he had been selling Mitsubishis for 3 months, and I knew more than he did about it after researching for a few days. Everytime I asked him something, his response was, well I will have to check on it and he would get out his phone. I did not get it detailed since it was closed. The strange thing is they had this vehicle waiting so not sure why it wasn't detailed before I got there. The vehicle was dirty, trash (honey bun wrappers) in the door pockets that I cleaned out, a sticky spot on the seat, dirt spots everywhere, and I could see swirl marks in the paint. I asked Andrew about it and he said you buy it as is. Once I saw it in the light of day, the paint job looks like a 5 year old car instead of brand new. I do like how it handles, it is getting fairly decent gas mileage but does need broken in first to judge what it will do. I will have to drive a vehicle with horrid interior for the next 15 years, no way to afford changing now. I will also have to pay to have the seat changed to electric since I am small and it doesn't adjust down enough to drive comfortably. My legs ache after an hour on a trip. Yes I jumped at buying the used one,, completely my fault, but there are so many other ways to do business and help someone get the vehicle the want and need and not force them into one they hate. I will be buying two used vehicles in the next two years for my handicapped children to drive. You can guarantee it won't be from Shelor. More

Management corrected an overcharge from previous visits. Ray M. my service advisor corrected an overcharge for oil changes where I was charged for 6th quart of oil; discount cpn for synthetic oil was for 5 q Ray M. my service advisor corrected an overcharge for oil changes where I was charged for 6th quart of oil; discount cpn for synthetic oil was for 5 quarts and my Subaru required5.1 quarts. Although I was extremely angry after I realized the charge for .1 of a quart, I was amazed and pleased that management corrected the charge error by giving me a coupon to cover the overcharge. So 'KUDOS' to Shelors for their customer service! More
