Dear mikehv, First and foremost, i wanted to Thank you for your honest review of Shore Toyota. I always appreciate positive and negative reviews about our dealership. Without the negative reviews, i wouldn't know what needs to be changed in order to make the experience for the customers better. So i do thank you for that. The culture here at Shore Toyota Scion has changed a lot, anxd for the better. I am sorry to hear about your bad experiences in 1994 and 2006 but that was a long time ago. I wish there was something i could do to reconcile your problems from back then, but it is a very long time ago. Let's focus on your recent problem with Shore. I personally am the employee who came up with the No haggle, no hassle internet pricing, and also the Meet and Beat Policy. The no haggle and no hassle pricing is designed so you don;t have to worry about negotiating at a table or desk with a sales manager. It is either $100 over invoice, exact invoice, or $250 under invoice depending on what vehicle you are looking at. It is designed to make it a fair deal for both parties (the customer and the dealer). The dealer takes a nothing deal but gets to earn another customers business and the customer gets to pay our cost (invoice) and not have to worry about negotiating, which as you know, can be verry aggrovating at times. If you, as the customer, decide to ask for more money off, then YOU are deciding to negotiate, and therefore have to meet with a sales manager in person in order to do so. Phil is just an internet consultant and does not have the authority to negotiate pricing. The meet and beat policy is designed so if another dealer beats our pricing, as long as you provide the proper documentation, meaning, a buyers order or guest sheet from the other dealer signed by the sales manager we will either Meet or Beat it. Unfortunately, we cannot just take the customers word because if that were so, we would probably go out of business because of the extremely unreasonable low prices that we get offered on a daily basis, as you could imagine. As far as Service is concerned, i am very surprised to hear that Bob did not provide you with your checklist. He has been here for a very long time and is one of our Top service writters, if not the best out of all of them. I will make sure to have a discussion with him to make sure that this NEVER happens again to another customer. Again, thank you for bringing this to my attention. Once again, i am extremely sorry and regretful to hear how upset you were with your overall expereince with Shore Toyota Scion. Believe it or not, in the past year a lot of people posted reviews about how positive their expereince was with us, and trust me when i tell you, they are authentic. Dealer Rater is a very strict website that is impossible to fraud, which is why i signed up with them. We are trying to take a proactive approach to our happy and upset customers, and once again, i am sorry that you are an upset one. I would love the opportunity to talk to you to try and see if there is anything i could do to make you feel differently about Shore. Please do not hesitate to call me for any of your service, parts, rentals, or sales needs. I don;t want you to have to drive all the way up to Turnesville wither, especially when you live in our backyard.
