Just to follow up on my previous review of how they have continued to fall short After my previous review I finally got a call from the service manager. He said he had no idea this was still an issue but continued to fall short After my previous review I finally got a call from the service manager. He said he had no idea this was still an issue but would very much like the opportunity to fix my jeep. He sounded concerned and listened to the entire history, up to that moment. He agreed it sounded like something was still wrong and would have it gone over thoroughly. We agreed that I would bring it back when he had a loaner vehicle available so I would not have to pay for another rental while they investigated. That was over 2 WEEKS ago. 2 weeks of every morning checking coolant level and topping off before I start my day. It did go in a second time. They said maybe it’s the thermostat. NOT covered by powertrain. So cost me $900 out of pocket. Picked it up drove about 80 miles then parked overnight. Next morning, coolant was down to the “ADD” line. I contacted service and reported this immediately. They assured me it was filled properly when repairs were completed and that type of fluctuations is normal. No need to keep checking the level, just drive it. I totally understand if you bring a vehicle to any shop, them needing to diagnose a problem to ensure the root cause is properly repaired. But when you bring them days of photos as evidence that there is infact coolant loss daily , there is no way they should return it with no explanation. Then tell you just drive it, everything is normal. And still having to add coolant daily. AND, prior to bringing to them I paid a shop to diagnose which they said it needed a water pump and thermostat. This was given to the service department day 1. So now it’s been about a month since I first brought to this dealer. They had it for a week and a half. Charged me $900 for a thermostat. I paid $100 for initial diagnosis. Plus almost $200 for a rental while they had it because they had no loaners. Time to just get it repaired elsewhere and submit the bill to Stellantis with explanation why a powertrain issue was not repaired by a dealership. In my opinion, if you need more than an oil change done I’d take it somewhere else. Even the oil change is double check. But low oil they would probably tell you is normal and just keep driving it.
