Over the course of several weeks, we drove a variety of makes and models (Volvo, Nissan, Infiniti, et al) at dealerships throughout the Fort Worth area before deciding on a new Toyota 4Runner. We went back to Durant Toyota in Weatherford because of James. Price is almost always negotiable at any dealership, but finding a sales representative who listens, knows the answers to your questions and is respectful of your time is the key reason for us to go to a specific dealer. James knew what we wanted. We didn't want something different. He and the sales manager Wes went to some lengths to find us the exact vehicle we wanted. We told him this was a 10-year purchase and we didn't want to "settle" for less than what we wanted. He understood this completely. That is customer service. He and Wes worked with us on price, had us squared away with good financing terms and had our vehicle to us when we asked. It was an excellent buying experience. More
I drove over 100 miles to buy a Toyota Venza from this dealership. They are fantastic!! I thought this vehicle was out of my price range, but they worked hard to make things happen for me. Background and customer I was not fully intent on selling the truck I owned yet was curious to know what the buy-back would be. I also resent car sales and especially dealerships. Past experiences with two other DFW area Toyota dealerships left with unfulfilled statements from the sales person (lies) and finance offerings that were good for neither trade-in nor purchase through the dealership. In short, I had no intention of buying from a Toyota dealer again. Ever. 2. The dealership and staff experience In an attempt to make things as smooth and over as quickly as possible an appointment was made through the buy-back event center. I was contacted the morning of the appointment by a salesperson, Joey who inquired of my intentions in a very polite and non-pretentious fashion. I was late to the appointment though greeted with a laid-back, friendly atmosphere much unlike any other dealerships. I supplied my key and was left to wait in the lounge or browse inventory of trucks that I had asked about. There was no barrage of salespeople lurking in the shadows watching everything and hassling me with superficial nonsense. Just a peaceful lot with some very good vehicles to choose from. When I was paged for the buy-back quote I offered that some of the vehicles on the lot may be of interest pending the offer. Joey accompanied me to the lot and allowed me to ask questions which he actually gave real answers to, while also explaining some key features that actually were important and not just sales shine. With the price, buy-back offer and vehicle information I was willing to consider the trade-in. At this point, something remarkable occurred. The information was given to the manager, Wes (who actually greeted me as well rather than the behind-the wall never-met person openly complaining about how much they are or are not making on a deal that has occurred at other dealerships). After some questions and discussion it was very apparent that the staff were actually working together to get the best deal per my stated limits. It was a highly unexpected that this level of service and efficiency existed in dealerships or sales anywhere. I suddenly did not have the feeling that as a customer I was being taken advantage of. In fact, exactly the opposite was true and the deal was realistic and in my favor. Eddie in finance demonstrated equal efficiency and courtesy in executing the arrangements. A finance officer who actually has a pleasant personality and efficiency is unimaginable but Eddie displays both. 3. Summary Do go to Durant Toyota. I had read that a customer drove 600 miles for the better service and sales and I would drive a 1000 miles. It is impossible to believe how well I was treated as a customer but I am certain that every customer is treated just as well by the genuine, intelligent and efficient staff and friendly atmosphere. We went to this dealership looking for a Prius, but after driving it, we found it wasn't a good fit for us. Our salesperson, Joey Lishia, listened to our comments and concerns. He was very perceptive, he asked us pertinent questions about our driving habits and the level of options we prefer. Then, he suggested we try a Camry and the Avalon on the lot. We followed his suggestion and decided to purchase the Avalon with every option along with the exact color combination we preferred. It was PERFECT and the trade they gave us on our Highlander was very fair. Joey, our salesperson is someone we highly recommend. Eddie, our finance person explained every financing option' and the entire transaction was taken care of in a very friendly professional manner. All questions were answered and we could not be more delighted with our experience. More

When I walked into Durant, I was still unsure whether I wanted to buy a new car or continue repairing my current car. I told Law that I was unsure of how I wanted to proceed, and that there were still mul wanted to buy a new car or continue repairing my current car. I told Law that I was unsure of how I wanted to proceed, and that there were still multiple other makes and models I wanted to test drive prior to making a decision. After Law and I took a car (2011 Scion tC) for a test drive, I told him that I absolutely loved the car, but detested the color. If I was to buy a Scion tC, it would not be the car on the lot due to the color. I left that day in high spirits (unusual because I was leaving a car dealership!). I went to multiple other car dealerships in the DFW area, and never received the same customer service as I received with Law at Durant, including three other Scion dealerships. I realized that the drive into Weatherford (I live in Fort Worth) was worth it for the customer service and friendly atmosphere at Durant. When I finally made the decision to buy a new car and sell my old one, I immediately went back to see Law. The same tC was still on the lot, but I knew I couldn’t handle the color. I told him that I really wanted a white car. The next thing I knew, Law and Doyle Maynard were searching for the car I wanted. A few days later, the exact car (make, model, year, transmission) I wanted was on the lot. I went in, test drove the car and bought it that day. Law was fantastic throughout the entire process and I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a new/used car. When I returned to Durant for my 5,000 mile service, I went back into the salesroom just to say “hi” to Law. Law is knowledgeable, personable, and never pushy. The next time I am in need of a new car, I will be returning to Durant and Law. Law is hands-down the best car salesman (and one of the nicest persons) I have ever met. More
I have been looking for a car for several weeks and have not been satisfied with what I have found. I called on a car that Asbel had listed out on Craigslist. He was extremely friendly on the phone. He read the Carfax to me on the phone since I was going to be driving 1.5 hours to see the car. My daughter has serious asthma and can't be around cigarette smoke; Asbel and a coworker went out to the car and both sniffed around (while I was on the phone) to see if they could pick up any hint of cigarette smoke! I arrived at the dealership and Asbel had the car already ready for me to test drive. My husband and I made the decision to buy it within about 20 minutes of arriving at the dealership. I jokingly said that we should have a contest to see how fast we could get the deal made. We seriously were done in 15 minutes (we paid cash). The car had bubbled tint on the windows that I wanted taken off; Asbel guaranteed me they would take it off for free when I came through town 10 days later. In conversation with Asbel, we found out we lived just about 10 minutes from one another. The day after I bought the car, the oil light went on. We messaged Asbel. He contacted his mechanics before he even called us back and had options ready to offer. Bottom line, he picked the car up from me near our homes; took it to the dealership; did a major repair for FREE; and brought my car back to me!!!! I have never experienced customer service like what was provided at Durant Toyota by Asbel Garza. He will be the first person I call the next time we are in the market for a vehicle. I cannot recommend him highly enough!!! I have already given out his name to friends who are looking to buy. GREAT salesman and GREAT dealership!!! Thanks!!! More

Daughters car quit, needed car today. Went to Asbel as Paul, who we love from past experiences, was out. Asbel did everything he could to get her a car in her price range, low mileage, he was very helpful Paul, who we love from past experiences, was out. Showed us numerous options and explained each to where we could understand when making our final decision. I have always recommended Paul in the past to all my friends, family and coworkers and now I also recommend Asbel as well. These two guys go out of their way to get you the best deal. Even though Asbel knew we had to have a car that day, he was extremely fair. Felt we got a very good deal. We will continue to utilize this dealership for all our future Toyota purchases. More
